Are you ready to meditate with Cori?
Climb up into bed and make sure that you're super,
Super comfortable.
Check that the light is just right.
You're wearing your cozy,
Comfy pyjamas and all is well in the world.
So you can relax your body and let go of your busy,
Busy day.
Stephanie was sad.
She was slumped in her chair at her dresser,
Just staring at herself in the mirror.
She was very sad.
She'd had an argument with a friend and she was sad about it and they were no longer friends.
She didn't feel good about school.
She didn't feel good about herself.
It was just one of those days.
Everything made her unhappy and sad.
And she really didn't like feeling like this but at the same time,
She also knew that everyone feels like this.
Everyone gets sad days.
And she'd also read in a very good book that her mama gave her about emotions.
That it's okay to be sad.
It's okay to sit in it and just let your body feel sad.
Instead of forcing it away or trying to distract yourself,
Sometimes it's just okay to be sad.
And then when your body's processed it,
You get up,
You move on and you carry on with life.
Stephanie was staring at her jewellery box.
She opened it up and saw her magical earrings and thought,
Well maybe it would be nice to see her friends at Moonbow Forest.
That would be nice.
Just to go there.
To be there.
She put on the left earring first and then the right.
She closed her eyes and took a big,
Deep breath just like she always does and allowed the magical feelings,
The tingles,
That magic to start to move through her body.
She could feel it in her legs,
Tingling on the skin and then she felt it at the bottom of her spine.
She noticed it rush all the way up to the top of her head very quickly,
Which made her shiver.
And then she sensed the veil there in front of her face before she even got the itches and the twitches and the feeling of wanting to sneeze in her nose.
The veil was there waiting,
As if it had been waiting already.
Stephanie stepped forward and felt the grass underneath her feet.
She felt the veil this time on her face.
She hadn't moved it to the side on purpose.
She felt it tingle,
Like she was touching something that had the slightest amount of electricity running through it.
Tiny,
Tiny little prickles and tingles all over her face and her chest and her shoulders,
The parts of her body that were touching the veil.
Stephanie kept walking and just allowed the veil to go up and over her head and as it touched her scalp,
All of her hair went electric.
It was like rubbing your head on 10,
000 balloons all at once.
It was a very interesting sensation.
She liked it.
When she opened her eyes on the other side,
Luna was right there waiting.
In fact,
Luna was already on the ground.
Hi,
My sweet Stephanie.
Come here and greet me,
Said Luna.
Stephanie walked forward,
Touched her forehead against Luna's forehead and felt like her whole world was good once again.
She took a big,
Deep breath and inhaled the scent of Luna,
Earth,
Sky,
Hay,
Grass,
Magic.
All different smells that made her think of Luna,
Recognized it instantly.
She opened her eyes and gave Luna a weak smile and said,
I'm not very happy,
Unfortunately,
But I'm here.
Luna said,
I already know.
And that's not unfortunate.
That's just the way it is.
But I know exactly what you need today.
Come on,
Climb up on my back.
Let's go.
Stephanie climbed up on Luna's back and held on to her mane.
And within seconds,
Luna was in the sky.
The breeze blowing through Stephanie's hair felt sweet,
Soft,
And cool all at the same time.
She closed her eyes and leaned into the wind blowing in her face,
As if it was blowing away some of the cobwebs,
Some of the sadness inside.
It didn't take them very long to get to their destination.
Luna landed in the middle of what looked like a row,
A very long row,
As long as the eye could see,
Of honeysuckle.
As soon as they landed,
She smelt it,
Sweet and fragrant.
She loved the smell of it.
Oh my goodness,
That smells so good.
As she took a big deep breath,
Stephanie said.
Luna said,
I know,
Right?
Just that alone feels healing.
Stephanie couldn't stop sniffing deep and hard through her nose.
It was delicious.
But that's not all that this honeysuckle bush does.
Follow me,
Said Luna.
They walked a couple of steps forward until they were very close to the honeysuckle bush.
And the honeysuckle bush started to reach out its long vines as if to touch Stephanie.
At first,
Stephanie looked at Luna as if to say,
Is this what we're here for?
Without saying a word.
And Luna looked at Stephanie as if to say,
Yes,
Just trust me.
So that's exactly what Stephanie did.
She trusted Moonbow Forest.
She trusted Luna.
She trusted everything about this place.
This place had her good intentions at heart.
It wouldn't never stray her wrong.
Luna stood next to Stephanie as the vines,
More and more of them,
One by one,
Started to reach out.
At first,
They connected to Stephanie's feet,
Her ankles,
Around her legs,
Slowly moving up.
And then she felt them creating what felt like a blanket on the back of her body.
The back of her legs,
The back of her back,
The back of her head.
Everything felt held from behind.
And then,
The best part.
They gently raised Stephanie's feet,
One by one,
Until Stephanie fell back into a hammock,
A bed of honeysuckle,
Holding her,
Supporting her.
Now the honeysuckle wrapped around her relaxed arms,
Up over her chest.
A tummy,
The fronts of her legs.
She was cocooned and held up off the ground in the most beautiful,
Fragrant,
Soft blanket of honeysuckle.
Stephanie instantly closed her eyes,
Feeling the wave of deep,
Deep comfort and relaxation rush through her body.
She felt held.
She felt safe.
Held and safe in this beautiful,
Healing fragrance of honeysuckle,
The soft petals brushed across her cheeks.
She felt the soft petals on her arms,
Her legs,
Her feet,
Her toes.
Everything was cocooned in this loving embrace.
Luna said,
Just let them hold you.
Just let them hold you,
Sweet,
Sweet Stephanie.
Be held.
Be loved.
That's all you need right now.
Stephanie felt warm tears run from the sides of her eyes,
Down into the blanket of honeysuckle that was holding her so tenderly,
Giving her all the love in the world,
Letting her know that it's okay to be sad,
It's okay to be unhappy,
It's okay to have feelings.
The honeysuckle seemed to say,
We love you.
We support you.
We're here for you.
Just be.
Relax.
And that's exactly what Stephanie did.
She relaxed into the love.
She let herself be loved.
In her sadness,
She didn't say,
Oh,
I'm sad.
I can't come out right now.
Oh,
I'm sad.
You won't want to be around me.
Oh,
I'm sad.
I'm sorry for being a burden.
Oh,
I'm sad.
I'm sorry I'm not smiley and happy.
No.
No excuses.
No shame.
No guilt.
She just let herself be loved in the condition that she was in right now,
In this moment.
And it felt sweeter than it smelt.
And that was saying something.
Stephanie fell to sleep in that honeysuckle embrace for hours and hours and hours.
Luna went off and did some things.
And when she came back,
Stephanie was still fast asleep,
Barely stirring.
Luna waited patiently until Stephanie got all the love and relaxation and support that she needed.
She knew that when Stephanie was full to the brim,
She would open her eyes and be ready to go back home.
Stephanie opened her eyes,
Feeling lighter and happier than she had in days.
Intuitively,
The honeysuckle started to let go of its embrace around her.
One by one,
The vines softened and released her and allowed her to slip down onto her feet and stand next to Luna.
Luna said,
One more thing.
She plucked one of the honeysuckle flowers with her teeth and said,
Thank you.
And the honeysuckle said,
You're welcome.
She reached inside the flower and took out the two or three long stems.
And at the end of the stems,
With the tiniest little droplet of honeysuckle fluid,
She said to Stephanie,
Open up.
Stephanie opened her mouth,
Completely in agreeance that this would be good.
She knew it.
Luna very gently touched the stems from inside of the honeysuckle flower onto Stephanie's tongue.
And Stephanie got the honeysuckle.
She tasted it.
It was sweet and fragrant,
Just like the flower.
The honeysuckle whispered to Stephanie,
Take as many as you want.
How,
How cool,
Said Stephanie.
Plucking flower after flower after flower.
Drinking the honeysuckle nectar from the flowers themselves.
The sweetest treat that she'd ever,
Ever had.
The end.
