Are you ready to meditate with Kari?

Make sure that you're all comfortable in your bed and you can relax as you listen to the story.

Stephanie had just got home from school.

She ran upstairs,

Put on her comfy joggers and a sweatshirt and sat down at her desk in her bedroom.

She wanted to go to Moonbow Forest.

It had been a while since she'd seen all of her friends there.

She didn't have anything in mind.

Nothing particularly bad was happening in her life.

All was well.

She just wanted to go and hang out with her friends.

She reached into her jewellery box and found her magical earrings.

She put the left one on first and then the right,

Closed her eyes and took a big deep breath and started to feel the magic working,

Doing its thing.

She could feel tingles in her fingers.

Her nose was itching.

She had a shiver that made her shake,

A tingle that went all the way down her spine.

Even her toes tingled today.

And then when she opened her inner sight,

She could see the veil between the two worlds.

The world where she lived every day and went to school,

A normal life.

And then the other world of Moonbow Forest.

The place where she met with all of her unicorn friends,

All of the weird creatures there.

The fact that you could eat almost everything that you see.

The magical place of Moonbow Forest.

Stephanie took a step.

At the same time,

She pulled back the veil between the two worlds and stepped in.

The first thing she felt was the grass on her feet.

Spongy and soft,

Tickly at the same time.

And just an incy wincy bit prickly.

Instead of seeing her forest there in front of her,

Stephanie saw a castle.

It was a very grand,

Beautiful,

Beautiful castle.

The most prettiest castle that she'd ever seen.

Like one that you would see in fairy books.

You know,

With princes and princesses and queens and kings.

It had a drawbridge that was down and all around the castle at the bottom.

It looked like a pink river.

Stephanie had been to Moonbow Forest so many times by now.

As she started to walk towards the castle,

She was thinking that maybe the river that was pink was Strawberry Milkshake.

That would be nice.

When she got to the drawbridge,

She realised that the river was too low.

She couldn't just reach down and grab a handful and taste it.

But she could smell it.

It definitely smelt like strawberry milk.

As Stephanie walked over the bridge,

It creaked underneath her feet like old,

Rusty,

Crunchy floorboards.

She wasn't nervous at all for some reason.

She was quite excited.

The castle was so welcoming.

It had ivory growing up the sides of it.

It was a pale grey.

It looked like bricks.

Brick upon brick upon brick.

And it was very very tall.

There was a part of the castle that looked like that's exactly where Rapunzel would be.

Staring out of her window.

Dropping her hair down.

Rapunzel,

Rapunzel,

Let down your hair,

She thought.

Stephanie laughed.

The big,

Giant,

Wooden door that was the opening to the castle was closed.

It had a small box that closed and opened that looked just like the door to Wizard of Oz,

Where you can open it and peek outside rather than open the big,

Grand door itself.

She wondered who would peek their head out when she knocked on the door.

Maybe it's Luna.

Maybe there's something really special inside of this castle that Luna wants to show her.

But there was no sight of Luna.

Not yet,

Anyway.

Stephanie did her biggest bang on the door that she could drum up.

Bang,

Bang,

Bang,

Bang,

Bang.

And she waited.

It was very quiet.

She could hear the birds.

There was a slight breeze blowing through the air.

But she didn't hear any movement coming towards the door on the other side or anything.

She waited patiently.

And then she racked her fist on the door again.

Bang,

Bang,

Bang,

Bang.

This time she heard a voice.

Coming,

Just a minute.

The little door on the big,

Giant,

Wooden door opened with a creak.

And Stephanie found herself staring into the blue eyes of a very,

Very cute,

White,

Fluffy cat with a princess crown on the top of her head.

Hi,

Stephanie.

Welcome.

Stephanie said,

Oh,

Hi.

You know who I am?

The cat said,

Yes.

Luna said that you would be visiting.

And I'm very excited.

Stephanie said,

And who are you?

The cat said,

Oh,

Yes.

So sorry.

My name is Vea.

And I'm very special friends with Luna.

And I get to come here once in a while.

This is my castle.

And you are very welcome.

Let me just get some of the people to help me to open this big,

Gigantic gate.

The fluffy white cat,

Named Vea,

Disappeared from the tiny little door.

And then Stephanie started to hear people's feet shuffling behind the big door.

And it slowly started to creak open.

And when the door fully opened,

There were lots of guards.

But the guards didn't look serious.

The guards were all actually,

Well,

Were they wooden?

Or were they made of something else?

But they were actually like the Nutcracker.

Each one of them all looked the same.

And they all had a big smile on their face.

Vea looked as if she knew exactly what Stephanie was thinking.

Yes,

She said.

They're actually made of chocolate.

You know,

Like Easter eggs.

They're hollow on the inside.

You can eat them.

The guards all around Vea didn't look upset with being eaten.

They just had that smiley face painted on their face.

As if they were there for whatever you needed.

Something about that didn't feel right for Stephanie though,

And she decided she didn't really want to eat one of the chocolate soldiers or guards or whatever they were.

It felt kind of sad.

So she just smiled and kind of nodded at them instead.

Hello,

Hello,

She said to a few of them.

They didn't talk back,

But they just had that same painted on smile,

Which was a tiny bit freaky.

Said Vea,

I've got so much to show you.

My castle,

If I can say so,

Is one of the best here in Moonville Forest.

It's one of the best because I designed it with Luna.

Many,

Many years ago.

Follow me.

Stephanie followed the cat,

Vea,

Into what looked like a big,

Grand hallway.

It had a staircase on the left and a staircase on the right that led up and joined at the top,

And the most enormous chandelier.

Ridiculously big.

That Stephanie had ever seen.

Vea said,

Oh,

This is my favourite.

Watch.

She went over to the wall and pressed a button and the chandelier started to lower down in the centre of the room.

It creaked a little bit.

But it wasn't scary.

And as it got lower and lower and lower,

Stephanie noticed that it wasn't like a white crystal chandelier.

It was more like a yellow diamond looking chandelier.

When it reached the height where both Vea and Stephanie could touch it,

Vea pressed the button and it stopped moving.

Vea came back over to where Stephanie was standing and then she plucked one of the diamond looking things off the chandelier and popped it into her mouth.

Go ahead,

She said.

Get one.

Stephanie pulled one of the twinkly bright looking yellow diamondy things and popped it into her mouth just like Vea.

Instantly she recognised the flavour.

It's a lemon sherbet,

She said.

Vea nodded.

Yes,

One of my favourites,

She said.

And then she ran quickly back over to the wall and pressed the button and the chandelier started to go back up to the ceiling.

Follow me,

She said.

I'll show you my room.

I have so many nice outfits in there.

Oh my goodness,

So many princess dresses.

Vea started to make her way up the right side staircase and then when she got to the top,

She turned right and Stephanie followed her.

She went to the first room on the right and opened a big white door.

Inside,

Everything was white.

The carpet was white,

The curtains were white,

The walls were white,

The bed was white.

Everything,

By the way,

Was also fluffy,

Just like Vea.

The carpet was thick.

And fluffy and shaggy.

Her bed had so many pillows that were all white and fluffy and soft looking like teddy bears.

The curtains were white velvet and fluffy and soft.

And Stephanie reached out and touched the wallpaper.

Even that felt like velvet,

Fluffy and soft.

Everything in the room was fluffy and soft and white,

Just like Vea.

Except one big,

Giant,

Bright blue wardrobe.

As blue as Vea's eyes.

Vea,

The little cat,

Ran over to the wardrobe and opened it.

It was like opening a door that let out a rainbow.

Every single coloured dress that you can think of was in that big,

Giant,

Blue wardrobe.

All twinkly,

Some shimmery,

Some glittery,

Some full of jewels and gems,

Some fluffy,

Just like her.

Every single dress that you could think of was in that wardrobe.

And at the top of the wardrobe,

There was a section with so many crowns,

Tiaras,

Hats,

Twinkle twinkles that Stephanie supposed Vea put on her head.

At the bottom of the wardrobe,

There must have been at least a hundred pairs of princess shoes.

All different colours,

All different heights.

On the doors of the wardrobe,

There were hooks where Vea had little handbags that matched some of the dresses.

And on the other door,

She had gloves,

Short,

Long.

All hanging off hooks that matched the dresses.

This,

This is my wardrobe,

Vea said.

And you know what?

Do you know what the most magical thing is about everything in this particular magical wardrobe?

Stephanie said.

You can eat it all,

Vea said.

How did you know?

Stephanie cracked out laughing.

Because this is Moonbow Forest,

Vea.

We can eat everything here.

Vea said.

Oh yes,

So too.

But what's even more magical is if I eat one of my shoes,

It just grows back.

Stephanie said.

Wow,

Yeah,

That's pretty darn cool.

Exactly.

And that way,

I never worry about eating any of them because they always just turn up again.

I mean,

This is the bestest place in the world.

My favourite,

By the way,

Are my blue shoes.

They taste just like blue raspberry slush.

But they're crunchy.

And also,

They melt in your mouth at the same time.

You gotta try one.

Vea picked up one of her blue sparkly shoes and passed it to Stephanie.

Stephanie looked at the it wasn't gross.

Didn't look like she'd been wearing it already.

And it looked like it just come out of a box.

So Stephanie took a big bite of the heel of the shoe.

And it was definitely just like blue raspberry slush.

Except it was like the texture of a chocolate.

But it had crunchy bits in as if as if the chocolate was like caramel salted flavor or something.

Or it had bits of biscuit or something in it.

It was absolutely delicious.

Oh wait,

Wait,

Wait.

Oh,

You have to try one of my cherry gloves.

She pulled a pair of gloves off one of the hooks on the door.

She kept one for herself and then pass one to Stephanie.

Taste it,

Vea said.

It is the best.

Stephanie bit into the gloves.

Oh,

Wow.

It was like cherries.

Fresh,

Sweet,

Dark.

The bestest type of cherries ever.

Popping in your mouth when you bit them.

It was so juicy and delicious.

Oh,

OMG.

Stephanie said out loud,

OMG.

And Vea giggled.

Oh,

Cherry would be so proud.

And also she would love these cherry gloves.

I made them just for Cherry.

Vea said,

Okay,

Come along,

Come along.

There's so much to show you.

She took her time closing the big doors of her wardrobe.

Vea led Stephanie into her own personal bathroom.

Everything,

Once again,

Was bright white.

The tiles on the floor and around the shower were white.

The toilet was white.

The sink was white.

The vanity was white.

The walls were white.

Everything was white,

Including a big,

Soft,

White,

Fluffy rug in front of the toilet and also the bathtub.

Vea announced that you could eat everything in here too.

Stephanie announced that she would not be eating anything from Vea's bathroom.

Vea thought that was funny and she giggled.

I understand.

Even though you are missing out on what the taps taste like.

Those silver taps.

Oh my,

They are so good.

Stephanie said,

I'll pass.

Vea took Stephanie on a tour around the castle.

There were 32 rooms in total and in every room,

You could eat everything.

It was overwhelming,

To be honest.

Stephanie was so full by the time she'd eaten a picture frame,

A pencil,

She'd eaten part of a rug,

She'd also eaten a pair of slippers from another room.

She was full of the most interesting flavours and things.

It was so much fun.

And Vea,

The little white cat,

Was so sweet and polite and kind that Stephanie instantly fell in love with her.

Stephanie asked Vea how often she got to come to Moonbow Forest.

And Vea said,

Well,

I just get to come here when I dream about it sometimes.

And I know it's real,

Right?

It is real,

Right?

Stephanie said,

Oh,

Yes,

Vea,

This place is very,

Very real.

And Vea said,

I knew it.

I knew it.

She gave Stephanie the biggest smile.

And then she said to Stephanie,

Do you like popcorn,

Stephanie?

I really like popcorn.

Should we go watch a movie and eat popcorn?

Stephanie said,

I love popcorn.

Let's do it,

Vea.

They went into one of the many rooms.

This room was like a theatre room.

It looked just like going to the movies.

It had a big screen and a popcorn machine on one of the sides.

And Vea said,

Help yourself.

I'm going to get us the best seats in the house.

Vea sat right in the middle of the room and waited for Stephanie to come back with a big tub of popcorn with fresh melted butter all over it.

Stephanie sat down and handed Vea the popcorn and the movie started to play.

The movie was Babe with the pig.

Vea said,

I really like this pig.

I love this movie.

And started munching on the popcorn.

Stephanie took a moment to stare down at the cute little cat.

She was so cute.

So,

So sweet.

And then as if bare,

Read Stephanie's mind.

She got up off her seat and went and sat on Stephanie's lap.

With the popcorn there in front of them,

They watched Babe together.

And it was one of the sweetest visits that Stephanie had ever had to Moombaugh Forest.

And she hoped that in the future,

She would see Vea again.

The end.
