Are you ready to meditate with Kori?
Are you ready to lay in bed all comfy and snuggly to relax your body and let go of your day so that you can eventually fall fast asleep?
Heidi,
Cherry and Vea were having a sleepover.
They were having a girl's night.
They got some of their closest friends over.
Anika and Leah,
Ayana and Sahara,
Annabelle and Alana were all over at the cat's house.
They were having a sister's club.
Sister's club when only sisters are invited.
Not trying to exclude anybody or anything,
But Anika and Leah were sisters.
Ayana and Sahara were sisters and Annabelle and Alana were sisters.
So Heidi,
Cherry and Vea were sisters.
It only made sense that they called it the sister's club.
The cats had planned a very fancy,
Fancy evening.
They were going to do a tea party of sorts where they were all royal and very special people.
Because when you have a tea party then you have to be very fancy.
Heidi had done some research and found out exactly what happens at tea parties.
Heidi and Cherry had made tiny,
Very tiny,
Very,
Very,
Very tiny little cucumber sandwiches.
Some of them were just cucumber and some of them were very fancy cucumber and crest sandwiches.
The sandwiches were made on white bread with butter and just cucumber slices or cucumber and crest slices.
And they're cut into tiny little triangles,
So tiny you could barely pick them up,
But that's what they're like apparently at fancy tea parties.
Heidi said,
It's very popular in Britain.
Cherry said,
Well,
You know,
Those crazy Brits,
They do do some silly things,
Don't they?
But you know what?
I bet they have tea parties at the,
The royal house,
You know,
You know,
The queen's house,
Whatever that call is called.
Is it called a house?
Or is it called like a kingdom?
Or is it,
Would it be,
Would it be a castle?
What do you think?
Or,
Or,
They said,
Me thinks it's a palace.
I think it's called Buckingham Palace.
Heidi said,
Yes,
That's one of many of their houses.
They have quite a few houses,
Cherry.
OMG!
Fancy pants.
Anyway,
Yeah,
So I bet you any money they have these fancy tea parties in England because they all want to be like the queen or the queen's people or like the queen's other people,
Like their families,
You know,
Like the kings.
And what else?
Oh,
Yes,
Princesses and princes.
Of course,
Said Cherry.
Yeah,
Princes,
Princesses,
Kings,
Queens,
Uncles,
Waitresses.
There could be so many people in these palaces,
You know,
Really lots and lots of them.
Heidi,
Do you think the queen cleans her own toilet?
Heidi said,
Probably not,
Cherry.
No,
I don't think so.
But then who's to say?
You have no idea what happens in these palaces and castles and kingdoms and all the rest of it,
Do we?
Really,
We're just speculating.
Oh,
Nice word,
Said Cherry.
I like that word,
Speculating.
It sounds like a spatula.
I'm just spatula-ing.
I'm just speculating.
Yeah,
I like it.
I like that word.
Anyway,
Girls,
Everyone take a seat for this very special occasion.
I Amazoned something because Amazon is my bestest friend.
Did you know that you can Amazon absolutely anything in the entire world?
And did you know that there is such a thing as Wigs.
Com?
And Wigs.
Com,
Is it Wigs.
Com or is it Wigs R Us?
I can't remember.
Anyway,
I ordered us all wigs because I thought,
You know,
If we're going to have a fancy tea party.
The cats had set up three different areas where there were little tiny tables and little tiny baby chairs around them with little tiny sandwiches.
Faye had made very,
Very tiny cupcakes to go with the very,
Very tiny sandwiches.
They were all laid out really pretty.
There were doilies on the table.
There were napkins,
Tiny little plates with flowers on.
It was so cute.
So cute.
Anyway,
So Cherry was talking about her wigs.
Anyway,
Yeah,
So I thought that if we were going to be royal like or fancy like or just British,
You know,
I think maybe British people all have crazy hair or something.
What do you think?
Anyway,
So I definitely think the Queen has crazy hair because it looks like it doesn't even move even in the wind.
So I was thinking we needed wigs.
Anyway,
Cherry produced a big giant box and put it in front of everybody.
All the girls got super excited because it's fun wearing a wig.
Who doesn't want to wear a wig?
Heidi said,
Are these wigs new or are they secondhand?
Cherry said,
Were you not listening?
I said,
I ordered them off Amazon.
And even though you can buy used or new things on Amazon,
These ones are new.
All right.
Yes,
They're new.
Because I was thinking,
You know,
Who wants really have to be careful with a secondhand wig,
Right?
Because what if somebody's got like knits or something or fleas?
Who wants fleas?
I've had fleas.
It's horrible.
Girls,
You don't want fleas.
So Heidi started laughing.
The girls probably wouldn't get fleas.
The fleas would bite the girls,
But they wouldn't get the fleas.
The girls would get knits.
Cherry said,
Would we get knits?
And what are knits exactly?
Heidi said,
Well,
Knits are like these tiny little creatures that live on human hair and they pass them to each other if they're not careful.
And how you get them in the first place or where they originated from in the first place,
I have absolutely no clue.
I think I would have to read a book on that or maybe do some Googling.
Anyway,
Said Heidi,
They pass them to each other when they hug each other or snuggle or play or just sit close to someone because the knits can jump.
OMG,
They sound very similar to fleas.
The girls were looking a little bit horrified at the thought of catching knits from the wigs.
Anyway,
Said Cherry,
Seeing all the girls' faces looking quite pale and a little bit perturbed.
Don't worry,
Girls.
These are brand new wigs.
They're not secondhand wigs.
And anyway,
Even if they were secondhand wigs,
I'm sure knits don't last that long if they're not living on someone,
Right?
Kind of like fleas.
Or do they lay eggs?
Oh,
God,
This is grossing me out so much.
Let's talk about something else.
The wigs!
Ta-da!
I,
For one,
Would like this very long,
Blonde,
Curly wig.
Everyone started to rummage through the box.
Heidi picked a sharp,
Black,
Bobbed wig.
It was very shiny and silky and straight.
She kept tucking a tit and pulling a tit and it looked just perfect.
Vea went for a red,
Spiky wig,
Which was really funny.
It didn't look very royal at all,
But she did look like a punk rocker or someone that had been on a very,
Very fast rollercoaster ride when their hair was wet and then by the time they got off,
It was just stood up straight on end.
She thought it was very funny.
Annika and Leah both picked a long,
Blonde,
Curly wig,
Just like Cherry's.
Ayana and Sahara picked very different wigs.
One of them was short,
The other one was like a bob.
Annabelle found a white wig.
She thought it looked just like the Queen's hair,
Which everybody agreed it definitely did.
And Alana settled on a pink wig.
Pink?
Ooh,
Fancy,
Said Cherry.
I really like the pink on you,
Alana.
When everyone had got their wigs,
They all sat down at the tiny,
Tiny tables and ate the tiny,
Tiny sandwiches and the tiny,
Tiny cupcakes.
Heidi made them all tiny cups of tea in miniature little cups with saucers,
Which were very,
Very fancy.
They talked about the weather.
Then they talked about just the day so far.
And then they decided if they were royal,
What else would they talk about?
Cherry said,
Oh,
Those paparazzis.
It's been a horrible day.
She was pretending she was the Queen.
I've been trying to do me shopping.
I was going out to do me shopping just to get some things to pick up a few pieces,
You know,
Some bread,
Some butter,
Things like that.
And you know what?
Cameras everywhere.
There was cars chasing me.
I mean,
You can't even walk down the street these days,
Can you?
And then,
And then,
And then one of the cars swerved in front of me and took like 10 million pictures.
And by the time the flash had stopped flashing,
I could barely see.
And I started wobbling all over the place.
I fell off the curb and fell into the road.
And then one of those paparazzi people almost run me over.
And I thought,
You know,
If there was some more paparazzi here,
They would have seen that the paparazzi almost run me over.
And then I could probably have sued them.
Heidi said,
I don't think the Queen would go out for her own bread and butter and things like that,
Cherry.
It might be a bit dangerous.
Oh,
Said Cherry.
Do you not think?
Do they not even go shopping either?
What does this royal family do?
I mean,
They can't go shopping.
They can't,
What?
Can,
Do they go to school?
Do they go to school?
Heidi said,
No,
I think most of them are too old for school.
But there is some children in the royal family.
But I would think that they have their own private tutors,
Because I can't imagine them sat in a public school.
Oh,
That's so sad.
All the girls agreed that that was very sad.
They all really like school.
They like to be with their friends.
They liked it when they could go and have lessons in a classroom.
They were all discussing the fact that most of the time they have to do school online at the moment because of the COVID still.
But that would change hopefully very soon.
And they would be able to go back to school because nothing beats being able to go back to school and hang out with your friends,
Right?
Cherry said,
Oh,
You girls,
You girls must have been so bored,
So bored being stuck at home,
Staring at a computer,
Having to do school on a computer.
I mean,
Most of the time school's not that really interesting,
Is it?
Let's face it.
Unless it's a topic that you really like.
You know me,
I like to learn about some interesting things like,
You know,
In like certain parts of history when people did like really wonderful things like Joan of Arc or like,
You know,
Like people that were inspiring.
I like to learn about people like that.
Like,
You know,
Really,
Like,
Like really,
Really powerful,
Powerful female characters,
Like sisters that would be in the sister group.
Can you imagine if you could pick someone that inspired you that was a girl and they and they did something like in history?
Who would you have right now here at these tables having a cup of tea with us?
Who would you like?
Or it doesn't have to be somebody like that.
You could just do like somebody famous if you wanted to have a cup of tea with someone famous.
Who would you be?
Who would you do?
What would you do?
Who would you invite?
What would you think?
Heidi thought about it.
Faye thought about it.
All the girls thought about it.
And then they had a very long discussion about who they would all invite and what they would say to them.
Heidi said she would invite Mother Teresa.
She's done so much good for the world.
And I would ask her if anybody could do anything to change the world.
If we could do something like us cats and us girls,
What would we do?
What would she think we could do to make the world a better place?
Cherry said,
Wow,
That's such a powerful question,
Heidi.
What do you think Mother Teresa would say?
What do you think she'd say?
Heidi said,
Maybe something about being kind to people,
Helping people when you see them having a difficult time.
Something as simple as just smiling at people.
You never know if someone's having a really bad day and then if someone just smiles at you and it's a nice smile,
A genuine smile,
Then maybe that would make the world of difference for someone that's having a bad day.
Faye said,
Yeah,
That's a really nice thought.
Smiles are free as well,
Aren't they?
They don't cost anything.
Doesn't cost anything for anybody to smile.
Maybe we should all just sit and smile just for one minute.
Cherry said,
Do you think it's going to hurt his mouth?
Because,
You know,
I've been to places sometimes where you've had to keep smiling and smiling and smiling and you're like,
Oh,
Hello.
You're smiling,
You're like,
Oh,
Hi.
And you're smiling and smiling.
And then by the time you've done,
All your jaw hurts,
Doesn't it?
And your face feels all tight and stressed because you've done so much smiling.
Heidi said,
Maybe a smile for one minute,
All of us,
Just holding a smile,
Smiling at each other,
Or maybe even giggling or laughing,
Whatever comes up will make this room full of happiness.
And if this room is full of happiness,
Then maybe we can imagine that the happiness is flying out of the windows and flying through the door and flying through the ceiling and making the neighborhood happy.
And then if we keep smiling the whole minute,
Then maybe the happiness spreads even further than the neighborhood and makes the whole town happy.
Everyone was really excited about this exercise.
All they had to do was just sit for one minute and smile or smile at each other or laugh or be happy,
But just show that you're happy and feel happy,
Like really happy,
Not fake happy,
Really,
Really happy and send that happiness out to the world.
Heidi said,
Mother Teresa would be so happy.
Cherry said,
Right,
Come on,
Let's do it.
Everyone smiled at each other for 10 seconds,
20 seconds.
Sometimes they felt a little bit awkward and that made them giggle and laugh,
But that was okay.
It still counted.
40 seconds.
And then finally,
One minute was up.
They all clapped and cheered and hugged each other and thought about how cool it would be be if their happy room at their sister's club made the neighborhood happy.
Even the town happy.
I mean,
How cool is that?
Eventually,
It was time for bed.
Everyone brushed their teeth,
Put on the comfortable pajamas.
They all snuggled up together.
They all gave each other hugs and kisses and said nighty-night.
Heidi changed the lighting so it's nice and dull and warm and cozy.
And eventually,
Every one of them fell fast asleep,
Feeling really good about themselves.
Just by smiling for one minute,
You should try it.
The end.
