Heidi, Cherry & Vaya: The Birthday

Heidi, Cherry and Vaya are a series of very popular bedtime stories l post regularly on my youtube channel, Corys ConsciouLiving. They are 3 cats each with a different personality. These stories are silly, funny stories that always get more relaxing towards the end. They are created to help children that have a hard time going to bed. They seem to love the distraction of the fun story while unconsciously getting relaxed as they listen! This one is all about a birthday party!

Are you ready to meditate with Kari?

To make sure that you're lying down and you're still and quiet in your bed?

So that you can listen to the story and relax your body and let go of your day?

Heidi,

Cherry and Vair were at their apartment.

It was a quiet day,

Nothing too special was going on.

Except it was Heidi's birthday.

But Heidi wasn't really into big birthday presents or surprises or lots of noise.

All of the kerfuffle and buffle and maybe skydiving or like shark swimming or something exciting that Cherry would do on her birthday.

Nope,

Heidi just wanted a peaceful day,

Just relaxing in her pajamas doing whatever she wanted to do.

She did have one friend coming over and that was Catherine.

Catherine was coming over because she'd baked the cats a cake.

The cats did not know what flavor the cake were going to be and they were having a discussion about what it could possibly be.

Heidi said,

I think she's going to make a lemon cake because she knows I like lemon.

Lemon cake with lemon frosting or maybe vanilla cake with lemon frosting.

That would be nice.

Cherry said,

You know,

That would be nice because I do like those flavors.

But I also like Cherry.

You know,

What's that one called?

That one that's like all,

Oh,

It's a really fancy name and I can never say it right.

Black Forest.

Is it a forest?

Yeah,

I think it's a forest.

Yeah,

I'm right.

It's Black Forest because they use black cherries and it's absolutely delicious.

Yeah,

Black Forest Gator,

Gator?

Gator?

I think it's a Black Forest Gator.

Veo said,

You mean Black Forest Gator?

Cherry said,

Yeah,

Not a guitar.

Gator,

Gator,

Gator,

Gator.

I can't say it,

Veo.

Veo said it again.

Gator?

Cherry said,

Yeah,

That.

Yeah,

Black Forest Gator.

Yeah,

Can I call it a Black Forest guitar?

Because I can say that.

And I know it's not a guitar because,

You know,

I know that a cake is not a guitar and I know that a guitar is not a cake.

And,

You know,

Did you know that I've been taking guitar lessons?

Did I tell you?

Heidi and Veo started to listen a little bit more intrigued.

Cherry said,

Yeah,

I have.

I've been taking guitar lessons and I've been practising a very special song and I've been practising for a really long time.

And my guitar lesson teacher,

Gerald,

Said that,

Yeah,

I'm doing really,

Really well and I might not need that many more lessons because I'm an absolute natural.

I can play guitar so naturally.

It's like I came out of my mummy playing guitar.

He said,

I do it so good and I can do it with my eyes closed now,

This particular song,

Because I've been practising over and over and over and over and over again.

And,

Oh,

Excuse me,

And I can do it with my eyes closed and I can even like sing along because,

You know,

You don't know this until you're actually learning to play guitar.

You don't know how hard it is to play an instrument and sing something at the same time.

It's like patting your tummy and rubbing your head.

Or is it rubbing your head and patting your tummy?

I don't know which one it is,

But I know that it's quite challenging.

And your guitar playing or piano playing or any kind of instrument playing and singing a song at the same time almost makes your brain have to split into two different places,

Like two different brains.

And that's very,

Very challenging for people,

But you know what?

I'm a natural and I can do it and I can do it really,

Really,

Really well.

And I'll show you later when Catherine comes because that's when I'm going to show you my song,

Because I know Catherine will play.

Well,

I don't think she'll play anything,

But I know Catherine will sing along and she'll like it because Catherine likes us cats.

They said me,

Me has always wanted to play an instrument.

I think I would like to play something that sounds very fairy like or princess like,

Like a very gentle flute or or what's that?

Really,

Really,

Really big one that beautiful ladies play a harp.

Yes,

I'd like to play a harp.

That would be very nice.

And I think I would I would look like a princess playing the harp and it's gentle like me.

Heidi said,

Well,

You know,

A long time ago,

I've never told you this,

But I used to play the drums.

Jerry said,

No way.

You get out of town and back again.

No way.

Can you play the drums?

Heidi said,

Yes,

I can.

And I can play them very well.

I played them in school for a long time.

I learned to play the drums.

I was the only girl cat.

All the other cats were boys.

And,

You know,

You can have a lot of fun playing drums.

Jerry said,

I don't believe it.

I can you be my sister and never ever,

Ever,

Never,

Ever,

Ever in a million,

Never ever,

Ever in a trillion,

Billion years.

Have you told me that you can play drums?

If I knew that you could have played the drums,

Then we would have been in a band by now all day.

If they were over here,

Could have been playing our harpy loppy and I could have been playing my guitar.

And you could have been playing the drums and we could have been pop singers.

We could have actually been famous.

We could have been on,

What is it?

What's it called?

Yeah,

YouTube.

We could have been on YouTube and maybe even like late night talk shows because we're so famous,

Like Justin Bieber or what's his girlfriend that used to be his girlfriend that's not his girlfriend anymore.

And I really,

Really like her music.

Bea said,

Me thinks you're talking about Selena Gomez.

Yes,

Her.

Yeah,

We could have been on like a late night show.

You know what?

You know what?

If I'd have known this,

If I'd have known this,

Heidi,

I don't believe it.

If I'd have known,

We could have actually been backing singers or being Selena Gomez's backing group.

You know,

We could have done all this time.

We've wasted how long?

How long have you been playing drums and you've not told me?

Heidi said,

Well,

To be fair,

How long have you been playing guitar and not told me?

Cherry said,

Oh,

Yeah,

Good point.

Well,

Not so long.

I've been playing guitar for only two,

Was it?

Yeah,

Two months,

Two months I've been playing guitar.

Heidi said,

That's a long time to have not told me.

Cherry said,

Well,

It's not as long as like 10 years.

Heidi said,

We've not been together 10 years.

Cherry said,

I know I'm exaggerating.

I'm just saying though,

You've been playing drums a lot longer than I've been playing guitar.

And you never,

Never,

Never,

Never spoke a single word about it.

And we could have been famous on late night shows and we could have been on You Itubi and we could have been doing all sorts of stuff together.

And they could have been a famous princess by now playing the harpy harpy.

And it would have been so fun.

We could still do it though.

You know what?

The doorbell rang.

It was Catherine.

She came in with a vanilla cake that was lemon flavor.

Yay,

Said Cherry.

That's exactly what Heidi wanted.

Catherine had a big smile on her face because she kind of guessed,

But she also knew that Heidi liked lemon.

But she did guess,

But she made the right guess.

She put the cake down on the kitchen counter and came over and gave all the cats a big hug and a squeeze and a kiss.

When she settled down,

They filled her in on what was going on.

And then they told her about the fact that Heidi could play the drums and Veya wanted to play the harp,

But she couldn't play the harp.

But Cherry had been taking guitar lessons and she could now play the guitar.

And the whole point of them telling her this was they'd been waiting for her to come so that they could sing a special song.

And Cherry could do her like debut performance of her playing guitar.

But now that we know that Heidi can play the drums,

She can play the drums too.

Do you even have drums,

Heidi?

Heidi said,

Yes,

I think I do.

I think there's some packed away at the back of the wardrobe.

Go get them,

Said Cherry.

Gosh,

I can't believe this.

I'm so like disappointed.

But I'm also really,

Really excited at the possibilities in the future that could possibly happen.

Catherine,

We're going to be famous.

Well,

You know,

We already are famous,

But we're going to be even more famous because we're going to be in a band.

We're going to start our own band.

And Veya needs to start to do some kind of instrumental lessons.

Veya said,

Me,

Me,

Me can just sing.

Would you like to sing,

Catherine?

Catherine said,

Oh,

Yes,

I'd like that.

I'd like that a lot.

Cherry said,

Awesome.

See,

We already have a band.

We only need the guitar and the drums anyway.

And Veya,

You have a lovely voice.

You really do have a lovely voice.

And Catherine,

I don't know what your voice is like,

But it best be good because if it's not good,

Then you can't be in the band.

She started laughing.

Just kidding.

Of course you can be in the band.

But no,

Really,

Seriously,

You're going to have to practice if you're not very good.

Catherine started laughing because she knew Cherry was joking.

But really,

Cherry wasn't joking.

But maybe she was joking.

But Catherine laughed anyway and decided that maybe she should do singing lessons if that was the case.

It didn't take too long before Heidi came back with the drums.

Cherry said,

Just a minute,

Just a minute.

She went off and got a guitar.

She started to strum on a few chords when she got set up.

Heidi was practicing with the drums and her drumsticks.

Been a long time since she played.

Veya and Catherine were practicing with their vocal chords.

Me,

They were doing very well.

Cherry said,

Right,

I'm ready.

We're going to sing.

I'm not going to sing.

Well,

I can.

I can sing in the background a little bit.

But this is really for Heidi.

So,

Veya,

Catherine,

You ready?

Veya and Catherine both nodded.

The music started and they started playing.

Cherry was actually very good.

And so was Heidi.

Drum skills were amazing.

Cherry's eyes were really,

Really focused.

She was staring like bobbing her head back and forward,

Looking down at the ground,

Thinking about her keys and what she was playing and the chords,

The different sounds that she was creating.

And then,

Faya started to sing with Catherine.

Happy birthday to you.

Happy birthday to you.

Happy,

Happy,

Me,

Me thinks you should have a happy birthday.

Dear Heidi,

Happy birthday to you.

Everyone did so good.

They played the song three times.

Cherry kept saying,

And yes,

Once again,

Countdown,

Five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

And she'd start playing the song again,

And everybody had to sing and play the drums and do it all over again.

When they finished,

They all had lemonade and a slice of lemon and vanilla cake.

Cherry sat down,

Faya sat down,

Heidi sat down.

Catherine got a big,

Cozy,

Soft blanket and got everyone comfy.

And they all sat and told each other stories about their bestest,

Bestest birthdays experiences.

Whether it was a party or whether it was like the bestest cake that they had,

Cherry and Faya and Heidi all agreed that Catherine's cake was awesome.

It was up there at the top of the list with the bestest cakes that they'd ever had,

Which made Catherine very happy.

They told stories after story after story for the longest time and caught up with Catherine.

And then they all snuggled down and got comfortable and decided it was time to take a nap.

Heidi fell asleep thinking that it was the bestest birthday,

Just what she wanted,

Nice and quiet,

With just special people there.

Cherry was dreaming about what she was gonna do on her next birthday adventure.

She was thinking about climbing Mount Everest.

Might be a bit cold,

She thought,

But you never know.

She'll probably be all right,

Cause she's awesome and she'll be just fine.

Faya had the most beautiful rainbow,

Sparkly lighting up,

Flashing lights,

Princess Dress in her dream.

And she was on stage with Beba and Selena Gomez singing.

They slept for the longest time and had the sweetest dreams.

Now it's time for you to go to sleep.

I cannot belive it was 4 YEARS AGO (basically) that i i first found heidi cherry and vaya! i was under eight then! ( im older than that now by the way) And i am so exited for tomorrow because it is the 29th of February, and it feels a couple days ago that it was 2020! But anyway i still love this meditation after 4 years and i am still obsessed with these storys! A bit random but the other day i was dressing up as heidi cherry and vaya (wearing the colour of their skin) and pretending to be them. This shows how bored i get!
