Make sure that you're laying down in a comfortable position that feels right for you.
A position that you know you could maybe possibly fall to sleep in.
Our overall intention with this meditation is to fall asleep so that you can deeply relax,
Let go of the world and at the end fall asleep.
So get comfortable.
Close your eyes and take a nice big deep breath in through your nose.
Release your breath out through your mouth or out through your nose.
Again a nice big deep breath all the way down to the base of your abdomen and breathe out when you're ready.
The intention of focusing on our breath and slowing down our breathing is so that we can start to pull our focus away from everything on the outside.
We're pulling our focus on the inside.
Starting to feel your breath as you breathe.
Notice the sensations in your body as you breathe in.
Notice the subtle differences as you breathe out.
The breathing in aspect of your breath feels like an acceptance.
Like you're receiving something into your being.
And as we breathe out we let go.
We surrender and release.
Pulling your attention down into your feet,
Starting to come into more of an awareness with the sensations in the rest of your body.
Practicing body awareness allows us to notice the more subtle changes in our energy.
And the more we do this in meditation,
The more we subconsciously do this in our normal waking moments.
And the subtle changes in our energy has a language of itself.
It's speaking to us.
Our body is communicating with us.
Allowing our conscious mind to notice when something's happening.
To be more aware of something.
So feel your feet.
Feel everything about your feet.
Notice the sensations of the things that's touching your feet from the outside.
Maybe you're wearing socks or you can feel a blanket,
The bedding.
Notice what that feels like.
Smooth or silky or furry.
Then pull your attention inside your feet.
See if you can zone in and really feel the slightest pulse or vibration.
Maybe there's a tingling sensation in your feet as the blood flows and the life force moves through your feet.
Use your intention of your mind and tell your feet it's okay to relax.
It's okay to let go.
To get heavy and surrender into the earth beneath you.
Your mind is so powerful.
Communicate with your body and tell it what you desire.
And your body will listen.
Relax your ankles and your lower legs.
Start to allow the flow of relaxation to move up through your feet,
Up into your ankles,
Up into the muscles in your calves.
Imagine in your mind that you can literally see the relaxation flowing through the cells in that part of your body.
Like when you drop one drop of ink into a vessel of water and it spreads and mixes with all of the other molecules around it.
Imagine the relaxation is just like that.
It spreads up into the area around your knees,
The front,
The back.
Move in slowly up into your thighs and everything it comes into contact with,
It has this instant reaction inside of your body.
Instantly the cells relax.
Instantly the muscles relax.
Really welcome this flow of relaxation.
You're encouraging it.
It's like walking into the ocean when you haven't stepped on a beach for so long.
That feeling on your skin.
The rush of sensations through your body.
Imagine the relaxation is just as delicious as that.
Moving up into your hips.
Circling around and through your hip bones.
Relaxing your lower back.
The base of your spine.
And just like the Kundalini serpent,
Imagine the relaxation is cogscrewing around your spine.
Slowly moving up and over each vertebrae.
One by one.
All the way up to the base of your neck.
See the relaxation spreading,
Flowing over your lower abdomen.
Surrounding all of your organs and intestines.
And as it moves through your body,
You start to feel weighted down,
Heavy.
But it's a deep surrender within you.
Not heavy like that you're uncomfortable.
More of a heaviness that feels so welcome.
Your body intuitively knows how much you need this.
You need this depth of relaxation.
Your cells want to heal and renew.
Everything about your body is welcoming this heaviness.
You just want to let go.
Completely let go.
And just fall into this acceptance of relaxation.
Deep,
Deep relaxation.
Your arms feel so heavy now that you could probably pick them up if you tried but you don't even want to.
You don't want to put the effort into trying to lift your arms or move anything on your body.
You're just comfortable.
The relaxation spreads across your chest and into and around your shoulders.
Deep into the muscles at the back of your neck.
Dissolving the tension and stress that you hold in that part of your body.
You can already feel your face softening.
The tension around your eyes is releasing.
It's all just melting away.
Like a snowman in the sun.
Just melting away.
Changing form.
The peace and the relaxation travelling through your cells is helping your cells to change form.
All the chemicals in your bloodstream that cause stress are just dissolving away.
And the discomfort in your body is just melting away as you sink deeper and deeper.
Down deeper and deeper into this blissful place of relaxation.
Everything feels just right.
You don't have to be anywhere.
You don't have to think about anything.
This is your self-care.
Your self-love.
Giving your body and your mind space to heal and deeply,
Deeply relax.
Your eyelids have been shut for the longest time now.
It would feel so hard to open your eyes.
It feels so nice to just let your eyes rest.
To allow your mind to slow down.
To let the world around you just disappear.
Just let go.
Let yourself sleep.
Sleep and have the best dreams.
And be a whole new you when the sun rises in the morning.
Namaste.
