Are you ready to meditate with Kori?
Make sure that you climb up into your bed and you're ready to get all comfortable.
You want to make sure that you're nice and warm and snug as a bug in your bed.
So as you listen,
You can relax your body and let go of your busy day.
Take a nice big deep breath in for me.
Breathe in through your nose all the way down to your tummy.
See if you can make your tummy expand like a big balloon and breathe out when you're ready.
Do that again for me.
A nice big deep breath all the way down.
Make your tummy go big and round and expand and then breathe out.
Empty it all out of your tummy.
One last time for a nice biggest one,
Biggest,
Biggest breath.
Bigger than before,
Fuller than before,
All the way full to the tip and then breathe out.
Now if you haven't done so already,
Close down your eyes.
With your eyes closed,
Trying to stay as still as you possibly can,
Put all of your focus on your hands.
Try to keep your hands still,
Don't move them around,
Just feel your hands.
See if you can feel whatever your fingertips is touching.
Maybe your fingertips are laid on the bed covers or you have them on your pajamas,
Maybe your hands are crossed or they're down by your sides.
Whatever it is,
Just focus on your hands and see if you can start to feel a very slight tingling sensation in your hands,
Especially your fingers.
Get really,
Really quiet and still so that you can feel it.
Just pay attention.
It feels like a tingly,
Buzzy sensation inside of your fingers as if it's the slightest,
Most subtle pins and needles kind of feeling.
Can you feel it?
If you can feel it,
Great.
If you can't feel it,
It's okay,
It's still there.
It's just sometimes it's really,
Really subtle.
Either way,
This is an indication of your energy inside of your body.
This is the indication of you being alive,
Life force inside of your body that surges through all of your different parts of your body,
But you can especially feel it quite easily in our fingers when we go still and quiet.
Now I'm going to ask you to see if you can feel it in your feet.
So put all of your focus and attention down into your feet.
You can whittle your toes around if you want to,
Just to kind of feel the sensation of your feet,
And then go still.
Keep them perfectly still again.
And now that they're still,
Slow down your breathing so it's barely there.
So you can really focus on the sensation inside of your feet.
You might feel it more on the underside of your feet than the upper side of your feet.
But on the base of your feet,
You may be able to feel that same tingling sensation.
It's almost like there's something humming inside of your body,
Like a buzzing or a humming,
Like a swarm of bees inside of your body,
All busy doing so many different things.
Making sure that your heart beats,
Making sure that you breathe,
Making sure that your blood circulates,
Making sure that you're healthy and you're alive.
And you can feel that aliveness in the tingling sensation.
Now I don't know whether you like bees or not,
But I personally think that bees are super,
Super cool.
And we need them.
We need them to pollinate the flowers,
To pollinate the trees,
To keep us alive,
Basically.
They're very important.
So what I would like you to do is imagine that you're laid outside on the grass on a beautiful day,
Beautiful day.
It's warm and sunny.
Imagine that the grass is super comfortable underneath your body.
It feels really spongy and soft.
Imagine that you can smell cut grass in the air as if someone has been cutting grass and it smells just like summer.
And around on this grass is lots of different flowers,
Wildflowers,
Daisies,
Buttercups.
And then there's bushes of flowers like roses.
There's bushes of lavender,
Honeysuckle,
All these wonderful,
Pretty colors.
So many different smells.
It smells fresh and fragrant.
Imagine that on these bushes and on the wildflowers in the grass,
There's hundreds and hundreds of bees.
These aren't stinging bees.
You're not in any danger at all.
These are very,
Very gentle,
Busy bees.
And all they're interested in is the flowers,
Gathering the pollen so that they can take it back and create honey.
But the bees are busy.
And as you lay on the grass,
You can see a bush of lavender right next to you and you can smell it and it smells really calming and relaxing.
And you can see all the bees busying themselves on the flowers.
So many bees.
And you can hear them,
That humming,
Buzzing that I was talking about.
You can hear them and it helps you to imagine what's going on inside of your own body.
The buzzing,
The tingling,
As if you're full of billions and billions of tiny,
Minute little bees all working really hard to keep you healthy and happy and alive,
All with different jobs.
And as you watch the busy bees on the lavender bush,
You can imagine them being just as busy inside of you.
Tiny little versions of that,
Minute little microscopic versions of that,
Buzzing around inside of your body.
When you hear the sound of the bees,
It sounds very relaxing.
Just that slight buzzing sound that you can pick up on.
It's so faint,
But you can hear it,
Especially when there's a breeze in the air and it blows by and it seems to blow the sound of the bees towards you,
Buzzing away,
Busying themselves on the flowers.
And then you find yourself staring at the sun in the sky.
It's bright,
But it's not that bright that you can't look at it comfortably.
And as the sun beams down from the sky onto the flowers,
Onto the grass,
Onto your body,
It's important that you realize that you need the sun just as much as the flowers do.
And how the light helps the flowers to grow.
And how you grow from the light,
How you're kept alive and healthy from the sunlight.
How it feeds your body vitamin D,
And how it feeds all the plants and the flowers and the grass,
The trees,
The bees.
So close your eyes for a bit and just enjoy the sounds and the feeling of the sun,
Nice and warm on your skin.
You can feel it on your face.
Feel it on your hands and your arms.
You're also barefoot,
So you can feel it on your toes and your feet.
And when you tune in to the feeling of the sun on your hands and your feet,
You can feel that buzzing,
Tingling sensation all over again.
You imagine that the bees are busy inside of you doing their work,
Keeping your life force flowing through you.
You imagine that the sun is on the outside of you doing its work,
Feeding and energizing your body with vitamin D and energy and light.
And you feel very at peace and relaxed,
Laid on the grass,
As if you could take a nice nap.
The sounds of the bees,
The smell of the fresh cut grass and the flowers.
Everything is just perfect.
So keeping your eyes closed,
You start to take deeper breaths,
Longer,
Slower,
Deeper breaths.
You can feel your body getting heavier as you relax.
It feels like you're starting to sink deeper into the grass,
Weighted down by how relaxed you are.
Your legs and your feet feel super heavy.
Your hands and your arms feel super heavy.
Your body,
Your head.
Everything feels super comfortable and relaxed.
So relaxed that you start to get that floaty sensation in your body as if you're starting to drift.
Drift up just a little bit,
Starting to rise up off the ground as if you can't feel the ground underneath your body anymore.
Starting to rise higher and higher,
Floating up like a big,
Bright balloon up towards the sun.
And you feel so comfortable and at peace that it feels really nice to be so light and spacious,
Floating up higher and higher.
Your bones and your muscles and everything feels so weightless.
And you're deeply,
Deeply relaxed now.
You can still hear the bees.
You can still smell the grass.
Feel the warm sun on your skin.
When you start to sink deeper into sleep,
All your thoughts start to jumble up and just float like balloons,
Just like you are doing,
As if you were like a feather on the wind,
So light,
Flying around in the sky,
Being blown by the wind,
Going higher and higher,
Falling deeper and deeper into sleep,
Being able to focus less and less on the sounds and the smells,
Being pulled towards the bright,
Golden light of the sun,
Until eventually you fall fast asleep.
Sweet dreams,
My little friend.
Sweet dreams,
My little friend.
Sweet dreams,
My little friend.
Sweet dreams,
My little friend.
Sweet dreams,
My little friend.
