Let's meditate together.
I know you had your eyes open to press play for this meditation,
But once you've put your phone down,
Gently close back down your lids on your eyes,
As if we've not quite opened the eyes up for the day to start yet.
Lying still and quiet,
No moving around,
Just be still in yourself for a second.
Feel your breathing just gently moving through your body.
Coming out of sleep and dream world into this reality in a really gentle way.
Starting your day so that your body and your mind feels really good.
Just feeling your breath moving your chest and your abdomen.
Feeling how sweet it feels to be in the luxury of your soft,
Warm,
Comfortable bed.
Very gently opening your eyes and starting to let daylight in a little bit more.
Pausing to just stare at your ceiling.
We're not trying to move and get out of bed or anything like that right now.
Just let the light,
The beautiful light from outside coming into your room,
Whether it's coming in from the windows or coming in from the tiniest cracks in the curtains,
Start to let the light into you.
As if you're breathing it in and welcoming the new day into your reality.
Take a breath and a gentle sigh.
It's a new day.
Today's going to be a good day.
It's already feeling like a good day.
I'm so lucky to be in this nice,
Warm bed.
I can hear the birds,
Life,
Traffic.
The world starting all over again outside of my windows.
The wind chime is gently singing away already.
I can smell coffee and the faintest smell of toast.
My pillow feels really warm and soft underneath my head.
And even though I'm safe here in my cocoon,
I'm ready to have a good day.
Start to just move your toes,
Whittle them just a little bit.
Maybe stir your fingertips around,
Running them gently over the texture and the feeling of your bottom bed sheet.
Just again breathing in and taking a nice,
Big,
Deep breath of gratitude.
That feeling of just being truly grateful that you're here.
And even if you're busy today,
You have lots of plans,
You have lots of things to accomplish.
It's a day,
Another day that you're here to feel,
To laugh,
To love.
Even to experience all the opposites of those.
To maybe be tired,
To maybe be stressed,
To maybe be irritated or angry.
Who knows what the day will bring?
But if you sit in your truth for a moment,
You have to admit that you're very grateful just to be here breathing again for another day.
I have gratitude for my home,
I have gratitude for the roof over my head.
I have gratitude that I have things to do today.
I'm also grateful that I have some challenges ahead.
I'm grateful for the busy moments in my day as well as the quiet ones.
I'm actually excited to get out of bed and be with this day.
Set yourself up in your bed.
Start to just gently roll your neck using your nose as a pointer.
Imagine that you're just drawing gentle circles right there in front of your face.
Release your shoulders up towards your ears and tighten up for a second.
And then release your shoulders back down and feel that relaxation.
Feel that flow of release across your shoulders and the back of your neck.
Repeat that,
Squeezing your shoulders up to your ears and then dropping and releasing.
Turn to your left or your right and bring your legs down as if you're going to step out of bed.
Without getting up just yet,
Just gently roll your ankles around in circles.
Then clockwise and then anticlockwise.
Bring your arms and your hands up to the sky as if you're holding a beach ball there over your head and gently lean over to the left.
Let's bring some energy into your spine.
Slowly stretch over to the right,
Breathe in nice and deep through your nose.
Bringing your hands back down as you breathe out with a sigh.
Stand up onto your feet,
Grab your phone and walk yourself into your bathroom and stand in front of your mirror.
Staring into your own eyes,
Start to repeat in your mind.
Today is going to be a positive day.
When I feel myself feeling stressed or tired,
Frustrated or upset or even bored,
I'm going to internally smile and reverse my thoughts.
I'm going to switch them or flip them or reverse them.
I'm going to change my thoughts.
Any negativity is going to be changed to some thin positive.
It's going to be a half full glass kind of day.
Give yourself a little nod in the mirror,
Confirmation,
It's going to be a good day.
Say that to yourself,
It's going to be a good day.
I'm definitely going to have a very productive,
Positive,
Happy day.
And now,
Go to the bathroom,
Brush your teeth,
Get yourself ready so that you look glorious and shiny and as brilliant as you possibly can and have a wonderful day.
