Bring your awareness entirely to the sensations of breathing.
Just notice how the breath feels.
Do not force the breath in,
Nor force the breath out.
Just allow the body to breathe in its natural rhythm,
With its own natural pace.
And just notice how the sensations of breathing feel.
Be as though this were the very first time you have become aware of the sensations of breathing.
As though you sprang into existence right now,
In this moment.
And the very first thing that you have become aware of is the sensations of breathing.
So there is no past to refer to,
Nor is there a future to predict.
There is simply the present moment,
And the experience of the sensations of breathing.
Allow the sensations of breathing to become the entirety of your experience.
Just the raw,
Pure sensations,
With nothing added.
Do not allow the mind to begin trying to analyze the breath.
Or to begin controlling the breath,
Or altering the breath.
The only task is to remain fully,
Completely aware of the sensations of breathing,
And the sensations of breathing alone.
How does the breath feel in the body?
Remain as the experience of the breath.
There are no concepts about the breath,
Or ideas about the breath.
Just remain fully,
Completely as the sensations of breathing.
As though this pure sensation is the entirety of the universe.
There is nothing outside of the breath.
Just be aware of the breath.
And that is everything.
Allow your conscious awareness to be impartial,
Neutral.
Release yourself from the burden of trying to decide if things are good or bad.
Instead,
Just notice,
Just be,
Just observe.
And the only thing to observe is the sensation of the breath rising and falling.
Simple and natural.
You might notice that the breath begins to naturally deepen itself.
And naturally slow itself down.
And this is good.
But do not try to force this to happen,
There is simply no rush.
Just allow your conscious awareness to be filled with the sensations of the breath,
And the breath alone.
The mind is simply not necessary now.
All content of the mind,
Completely unimportant at this time.
Stay with the breath,
As it rises and falls.
There is no next breath,
Just the current breath.
There is no previous breath,
Just the current breath.
Nothing to be done.
There is nothing outside of the breath.
There is nothing within the breath.
The breath is simply the reality of your conscious awareness now.
You may wish to remain in silence,
Attentive on the breath.
Without guidance,
But continuing a formal meditation with this.
And if so,
Simply remain attentive and aware of the sensations of breathing.
And do not be tempted to put your attention anywhere else.
Or it may be time to leave the formal meditation and go about your daily activities.
If at any point you find your mind has become lost in stressed and worried thoughts throughout the day,
Just return to the sensations of breathing and see if this changes the internal emotional weather that you experience.
Thank you for doing this meditation with me today.
Take care,
Be well and stay present.
