Hi,
I'm Emma and today I'm going to be leading you through a heart chakra meditation.
Our heart chakra is the centre of our energy field.
It is the place in which we find love,
Joy,
Happiness and compassion.
It's a place that can feel warm and inviting.
It is also the same place that we feel sorrow,
Sadness and anger.
It's a place of absolute totality where we feel a spectrum of emotion.
And often when we think about connecting to our heart space,
We think of this love and joy.
But when we really truly open our heart fully,
We are showing compassion for our true selves,
The light and the shadows.
All that arises in this space.
For when we show this compassion to ourselves unconditionally,
We are able to extend that same compassion to others.
And so we'll begin this practice today just by coming to find a place of comfort.
And that might be a comfortable seat or you might like to lie down,
Placing a pillow underneath your upper back just to open this heart space.
Closing down the eyes and turning the gaze inward if that feels comfortable for you.
Trying to place the hands onto the heart centre stacked on top of each other.
So you're creating this force,
Pressing down into the heart.
Not physically,
Just energetically.
And I invite you just to tune in to what you are noticing here.
That may be physically the heartbeat or the rise and fall of the chest.
That may be deeper and you might be starting to sense the emotions that are sitting within your heart.
Forming all that arises into this moment with compassion and kindness to the self.
And starting to draw in this sense of light into the heart space.
Visualising the colour green.
This is what represents our heart chakra.
Seeing this emerald green shine brightly in the chest.
As you feel the energy of this green light present within your heart space.
I invite you to say the following affirmation to yourself either out loud or silently.
I show compassion for all that my heart feels.
I show compassion for all of the pain inside of my heart.
I show compassion for all that makes me my true self.
Just feeling that green energy beneath your hands.
And then slowly starting to move the hands away from the chest,
Coming to place them palms up.
And as you release that hold of that green energy,
Just feeling it spill out of you into the space around you.
This compassion that we've shown for ourselves,
Extending outwardly to others.
Just noticing how that feels to send compassion.
Coming to repeat the affirmation.
I show compassion in the ways that I show up for others.
I show compassion for those that are healing or experiencing pain.
I show compassion for those that have made me feel anger.
Slowly drawing the hands together at the heart center into our prayer position.
As a sign of gratitude to yourself for showing up in this space and connecting to your heart and showing compassion to yourselves so that you are able to extend that compassion out into the world.
Bowing the head to the hands,
