Hi and welcome to your 5 minute morning ritual.
To begin this practice I invite you just to come to find a seat with the warm beverage that you're enjoying this morning.
My personal choice as always is cacao.
And just take a few moments to be present in the body and notice how it feels this morning.
Just seeing if there's anything you can do just to soften into this space a little deeper.
Maybe relaxing the shoulders,
Easing the space in between the eyebrows,
Unclenching the jaw.
As you check in,
Beginning to notice the breath as it flows in and out without trying to change,
Just being aware of its motions.
Then coming to bring the awareness to the mind and just noticing the thoughts that are entering into this space this morning.
Again,
Not trying to change,
Just noticing.
Just seeing if you can allow them to come and go with the same fluidity that you're observing with the breath.
Just acknowledging these next few moments as time for you before the day begins.
Carved out space just to sit with yourself.
If you have your drink in front of you or if you are yet to pour it,
Just taking a moment now just to bring that to your attention.
Bringing the drink into your hands.
Placing it in the centre in this cupping position just in front of the heart space.
I invite you here just to allow an intention for your day to flow into your mind.
Just allowing the first thing that comes without overthinking it.
I want you to imagine placing that intention into your cup.
Taking a deep inhale in,
Feeling that intention fill your entire being.
And exhaling it out into the world.
Bowing your head down,
Bringing the cup up to your lips and just taking a sip,
Cementing that intention.
Repeating this practice as many times as you feel called to.
As a reminder that for your intentions to come into fruition,
You must first be present with them.
So with every inhale,
Feel that intention take up your entire being.
With every exhale,
It's releasing into the world,
Taking a sip,
Cementing the practice.
Knowing that this is a space that you can return to every morning and as many times as you need to throughout the day.
Thank you for joining me for your morning ritual.
