Nothing makes you reflect on your life quite like your birthday.
And I wrote something special to share with you in celebration of my own,
To help you honor all of the versions of you that have ever been,
Who you are now,
And who you are becoming.
Welcome to Coached by Nikki Dyer.
So we begin here,
By closing down your eyes and settling in,
Connecting to the breath with a deep inhale,
And release as you let it all go.
Letting any thoughts or emotions just pass through you with the breath.
Finding yourself releasing a little deeper still.
Your breath is always present,
So I welcome you to use it,
To anchor you here,
Into this present moment.
Everything you ever were,
Has made you everything you are.
The young version of you,
With big goofy teeth.
The version of you with hair that your mom used to cut.
The self-conscious version of you with acne.
The version of you who wasn't sure if you were liked.
The version of you who fell in love for the very first time.
The version of you who didn't know any better.
All of those versions are good.
The you in the photographs at the beginning of your camera roll.
The ones in black and white that make your heart sink,
Because they represent loss and the darkest moments of your life.
Even that version of you is still good.
The version of you that was struggling with your mental health,
And couldn't admit that you needed help in a bigger way.
You know the one.
The version of you now who is so much stronger,
But both equally worthy.
And there truthfully has never been a version of you that has ever made a single mistake or took the wrong path.
Everything has always been the way it was always meant to be.
Even your darkest moments became your biggest ways to heal others.
Everything has led you to this moment.
And it continues on for the rest of your life.
Today's version will be one you look back upon and celebrate.
For learning what it feels like to just be you.
Every version of you that has ever been and every version that will ever be is a good version.
Everything you were has made you into everything you are.
And everything you are will lead you into everything you will become.
So we end this practice with a pause.
A moment of silence to celebrate all of the versions of you that have ever been and to embrace them all with appreciation and love.
It's said that happiness and peace are inside jobs.
So take a final breath in here.
And let it all go.
And when you feel ready,
Open your eyes and come back into your space.
I want to thank you from my heart to yours for being a part of my own journey.
You are a piece of who I am today.
And I am eternally grateful to have you here.
