Let's begin by allowing the body to be very comfortable.

Sitting or lying down,

Everything becomes still.

As you close down the eyes,

Gently move into a place within.

The worries of the world around you just fall away.

They fall off the left side of the body.

They fall off the right side of the body.

Both the shoulders relax.

The frown of the forehead softens and the eyebrows melt.

The eyeballs sink heavy in their sockets.

Let go of the cheeks and feel all tension dissolve from the jaw.

A gap between your upper and lower teeth.

The tongue resting lightly in the roof of the mouth.

Pay attention to the space between the eyebrows.

Take a long slow breath in.

Feel as if the breath is cleansing and clearing through the mind.

Exhale let it go with a sense of relief.

Inhale in calm and peace.

And exhale in the knowledge there is nothing else to do but concentrate on yourself.

No judgement,

Just acceptance.

Bring the attention between the eyebrows once more and begin to visualize someone you love or care deeply about.

It could be someone you haven't seen for a long time.

A family member or friend.

It could be someone that is no longer with us.

Hold that person's image firmly in your mind and feel your love for them.

If it helps,

Imagine a memory of them from the past and see them in their strongest situation.

Healthy,

Relaxed and spirited with a big smile upon their face.

Keep that focus.

Now trace a line from the space between the eyebrows to the space in the center of the chest,

To the heart center.

Pull the image of them deep into your heart.

Imagine you are placing their heart in yours.

Notice the breath moving in and out at the heart center.

Perhaps you could imagine this breath as a light or an energy of some kind.

Filling both of your hearts with love.

Their heart in yours.

Breathe in love and exhale out light.

Let a little more love into your heart.

Stay connected to your breath and come back to the image of them and imagine that you can also see that your heart is in theirs.

See it and feel it like a gentle embrace.

Breathe in light,

Exhale out love.

Feel deep love in the heart.

Focusing on the energy of love.

Now place your left hand on your heart and let both your hearts become one.

Always connected in love.

And just keep in mind that love is not something you have to look for.

This is something that is deep inside of you every moment of every day.

And when you are ready you can open your eyes.

Be receptive.

Namaste.

My Beloved and I have been separated by a closed international border for a year now (and counting)... thank you for this lovely meditation that helped me feel connected to him in this moment.

Sometimes there's a need to feel connected, but the day's schedule is too hurried. This is the perfect way to connect lovingly while on transit, waiting in a cue, or when on a quick break at work. Just enough and just the right words. Thank you ❤️❤️❤️

This new meditation was so appropriate for me as today I am going to see my mother in hospital- she is very near to the end of her life due to a sudden brain bleed. I did see her 2 days ago when it first happened and Clare’s words helped me this morning prepare to see her again and visualise her beautiful face and console me before my journey there. Thankyou Clare
