Concentration is encouraged all the world,
From school to work to life.
It seems that it is normal to concentrate on something so one can finish something with efforts.
Rare people really question this because concentration has been encouraged in a way that people feel there is nothing wrong with concentration.
This habit has been so deep rooted.
What is concentration?
What is the consequence of it?
People are educated from youth to concentrate on something.
You need to concentrate on your study,
On your work,
So you can finish it.
Concentration means holding onto a thought,
At the same time excluding other thoughts.
The concentration has a lot of inner conflicts.
When the mind concentrates on something,
The mind is stressed,
Can be easily disturbed.
Many people feel this consequence of being disturbed when the mind is concentrating on something else.
People feel that if one concentrates on something,
One could finish the work more productively.
Is that really true or only a form of an illusion,
Self-deception?
When the mind is really concentrating on something,
The mind is full of conflicts.
Because concentration implies control,
Control of thoughts.
So the mind can only interact with some thoughts and exclude other thoughts.
To sustain this,
The mind has to control,
Has to make efforts.
And this control creates the division on the mind,
Which inevitably leads to contradiction,
Conflicts.
