Can you observe the mind without being the observer?
If you are observing the mind as the observer,
You regard the mind as something external,
Which is already a division between you,
The me,
And the mind.
In that division,
Everything is distorted by this misperception.
You have to reason that,
To see that the me is the mind,
The mind is me.
It is one,
Therefore there is no conflict.
But if the observance is from the observer,
There's division between the me and the mind.
And in that division,
All kinds of further conflicts,
Further divisions,
Further contradictions follow.
So the observance without me,
Without the observer,
Is just a simple look,
Without any justification,
Any condemnation,
Without any judgment,
Without any justification or condemnation.
Just look.
Look how the mind responds,
How the mind reacts to this moment when you are really with the anxiety,
With the fear,
With all the issues one is going through.
For many people,
When they are doing this,
The reaction brings about something unpleasant.
And just look,
Look the activities of the me,
The me begins to judge,
Begins to refuse,
To reject.
But can you hold yourself,
Not judge,
Just look at the reactions?
See the dynamics of the mind,
See the change,
See the change of the mind when you are doing nothing,
No judgment,
No justification,
No condemnation.
In that non-doing,
See what would happen.
And in that weakness,
One will get more than anything one can read,
Hear,
Or learn from anyone else.
