Some friends ask how to maximize compassion in life.

First we have to understand what is compassion.

Compassion can only exist when the self,

The ego is totally absent.

So to bring about compassion is to inquire,

To understand the self thoroughly.

So the self ends.

Then the compassion can come into play.

Usually we think we help other people is formal compassion.

This can be misleading.

Because in many moments when one help people,

There is an end,

There is a goal to achieve.

Such the help is not spontaneous and the mind is seeking something,

Seeking achievement,

Seeking some pleasure,

That's not a real compassion.

The real compassion comes from one takes spontaneous action,

Not from thoughts,

But the action self is spontaneous.

So to maximize the compassion,

Which means that we need to maximize the understanding into the self.

So the mind can take proper actions spontaneously.

Because when the energy is not visited into the self,

Which is for conflict,

Contradictions,

The energy is saved into action.

Compassion comes out automatically when the self is totally absent.

The self exists out of the duality,

The division.

Where there's a self,

There's division between you and me.

In conflicts,

We have aversions,

We have all kinds of complaint.

There's no compassion in that state.

So to meditate is to inquire,

Therefore to end the self totally.

So the mind is in a compassionate state.

This whole process,

Which is called meditation is a one process.

The mind is total,

Is whole,

There's no division,

No conflict.

Therefore there's no wastage of the energy.

And in that state,

The energy is being consumed by the actions without conflict,

Without any contradictions.

And in that,

That's the compassion.
