In this meditation.
We're going to focus on.
.
.
Releasing attachment.
And letting go of some of the resistance we create when we hold on too tightly to how we think things should be.
So finding.
Comfortable position.
Adjusting your body.
And taking a slow,
Deep breath in.
Allowing the out-breath to come naturally.
And another breath in.
And as you breathe out.
Allowing yourself to arrive here.
You've taken the step out of the busyness.
Come into this moment.
This present moment.
And just notice the support beneath your body.
Relax your shoulders.
Soften your jaw.
Consciously.
Try and relax the muscles around your eyes.
And with each new breath.
Notice yourself becoming more and more present.
Now bring your awareness.
To anything you may be holding tightly onto.
Is this something you really want to happen?
Something you want to change?
Maybe a goal you're working towards.
Or it could be just a situation.
You wish were different.
Just notice your body now as you think of this thing.
And notice how it makes you feel.
When we attach ourselves to an outcome.
Often this attachment.
Comes from our need or our desire to be certain.
We want to know exactly how things are going to work out.
We also want to know when it's going to happen.
We want reassurance that everything will be OK.
And then sometimes without realising it.
Were gripping too tightly.
And that holding tightly can show up in your body.
There could be tension in your chest.
Your stomach.
Your shoulders,
Your hands.
So just simply notice now.
What are you noticing?
Whatever you notice,
Just breathe.
For this moment,
Allowing it to be,
Just observing.
And breathing.
Now imagine.
The thing you've been holding on to.
Resting gently in your hands in front of you.
Maybe it's the outcome.
Timeline.
The need to know.
Just an expectation.
Just holding it there in your hands.
And taking a slow breath in.
And as you breathe out.
.
.
Imagine your hands begin to soften a little.
Breathing in.
And breathing out.
Loosening your grip.
Softening the hands.
Breathing in… and out.
Each time.
Just allowing the space to get bigger.
Everything to become looser.
Releasing the need to control.
Releasing the need to figure it out.
Releasing the stress You don't need to know how it's going to happen.
And repeat the words.
I can want something.
Without holding on.
So tightly.
I can want something without holding on so tightly.
I can take action.
Without controlling the outcome.
I can take action without controlling the outcome.
And I can allow space for life to unfold.
I can allow space for life to unfold.
Now bring your awareness to any resistance that may be present.
Anything you've been fighting against.
Something that hasn't happened.
Again,
Something you wish were different.
And rather than pushing it away or pushing against it,
Just imagine allowing it to be here in this moment.
Accepting something doesn't mean.
That you like it.
That you think it's right.
It means that you're no longer using all of your energy to fight what already is.
So taking another.
Big breath in.
And on the exhale softening again.
Imagine that resistance softening and loosening.
Like the nosh inside you.
Unraveling,
Loosening,
Each breath creating more space,
Separating the strands,
Making more space.
Allowing that heaviness,
That tightness.
To leave.
The more we accept what is.
The more we can stop using energy to resist.
The things we cannot change.
The more we trust.
The more we step into flow.
When we can see obstacles as detour is in the right direction.
We can be open.
More open to changing direction.
Flowing.
With what's right in front of us.
Maybe we can start meeting life as it comes rather than fighting against it.
And now repeat these words in your head.
I release what I cannot control.
I make space for possibilities I may not yet see.
And I choose to allow life to flow.
Now bringing your attention back to your breath.
Just noticing your body now.
A little lighter.
And noticing the space around your body.
And maybe let's ask ourselves one question before you step back into your day.
What could I loosen my grip on a little today?
And a final,
Long,
Slow,
Deep breath in.
And on your exhale,
Coming back into the room,
Back into our space.
Stepping into your day.
Hopefully with a clearer perspective.
And ready.
Have a beautiful inner day.
Thank you for joining me.
