Hi and welcome to this Belief Change meditation.
We often fail to reach our goals not because we don't take action but because unknown to us our subconscious mind is sometimes working against us.
This meditation will help you to identify and release a limiting belief on a subconscious level but it will also help you to release these beliefs on an energetic and emotional level too.
When we break free from our limiting and unhelpful beliefs it will decrease the struggle in life and help us to unlock our full potential.
So let us focus on changing a belief that has been holding you back.
If you haven't yet decided on a specific belief you will need to pause this recording and decide on that limiting or sabotaging belief that you currently have and think about what it is you would like to replace it with.
If you're unsure think about an area of your life that isn't working so well.
You might want to capture in a notebook the things that you believe about this part of your life and make a list of all the things you would like to believe instead.
It is necessary to do this work and have these two beliefs ready before you take part in this belief change meditation.
Now if you are ready to get going take a little time to get yourself comfortable,
Gently closing over your eyes.
For this meditation I suggest you sit in a chair with your back straight if that's possible for you or lie down flat on a bed or a mat.
This will allow space for your breath.
Now consciously start to let go of any tension in your body,
Allowing every part of your body a little time to relax.
Going in and out and with each new breath relaxing a little deeper into your space.
If your mind is busy imagine all of those busy thoughts turning to dust.
Now a gust of wind carries them away out of your space.
You can call them back later if you need them but for now you can just let them go.
Breathing in and exhaling,
Relaxing your face and relaxing your neck,
Letting go of the tension that may have accumulated over the day.
Relax your shoulders,
Releasing all of the tension you hold there,
Letting it go.
Relaxing your back,
Letting the chair support you.
Breathing in and releasing any tension while breathing out.
Relax your arms and your hands,
Tense and relax your hands a couple of times to release the tension you hold there and let it go.
Relax your hips,
Release all of the tension stored in your hips,
Let it out,
Releasing and letting go.
Relax your upper legs,
Releasing tension and letting go.
Relax your knees and your lower legs,
Letting go of all of the tension.
Now relax your ankles and your feet,
Releasing,
Relaxing and letting go.
Now relax all of your body,
Let the chair or the bed support you,
Releasing all of the tension in your body,
Relaxing,
Releasing and letting go.
Taking another long deep breath,
Breathing into any area of tightness,
There may still be and exhaling and letting go.
Breathing in lightness and letting go of any tension with each exhale.
Take a couple of deep relaxing breaths in your own time.
Now take a moment to connect with the limiting belief that you have about yourself.
Say the words you have identified to yourself.
It could be I'm not good enough,
I'll never succeed or I don't deserve happiness or money or love.
Remember these beliefs that you have about yourself are not who you are but something you have chosen to believe about yourself,
Whether conscious or unconscious.
Get the belief you have identified clear in your mind.
Remember to just choose one for now,
You can always repeat this meditation.
Now while you think of this belief and have it clear in your mind,
I want you to notice what's going on in your body.
Notice if you're feeling any discomfort,
It might be a tightness,
Maybe a slight nausea or you may feel an overwhelm in your head.
You may feel nothing at all,
There's no right or wrong.
If you feel a severe reaction you can always open your eyes and step back out but know that you are safe here now.
There is no danger,
No threat.
You don't have to fully feel the feeling but I want you to notice it and remember if you don't feel anything that's okay too.
If you are feeling something,
Know that this is probably where this belief is getting energy from,
A stuck emotion that resides in your body.
It may be something from the past that you are aware of or you might not have an idea where this belief came from.
Just know that whatever it is,
It is from the past and has no place in present time.
So holding your attention on what you are feeling,
It's now time to release it from your body.
You don't need it,
It's not part of your future.
As you keep your attention on that feeling,
If that feeling had a colour,
What colour do you think it would be?
Don't think too long,
Just use the first colour that pops into your mind.
But now let me ask you,
Are you ready to let this feeling go?
You can nod your head in agreement,
Just say yes in your head and as you answer yes,
Notice how already the feeling is starting to shift.
It knows it's time to go.
To watch how the energy and the colour starts to leave your body.
If this feeling started at a level 10,
You will notice how its intensity is reducing to an 8,
A 7 and a 6.
Slowly but steadily,
This emotion is leaving your body.
This emotion belongs to the past and holding onto it is not doing you or anybody else any favours.
As the emotion starts to release from your body,
Bring to mind the limiting belief and decide to release it along with the emotion.
Now watch how the belief flows away as the emotion continues to reduce from a 6 to a 5 and a 4.
The colour you chose is losing its intensity as it leaves your body and your space.
Continue to visualise this feeling moving out of your body,
A 4 to a 3 and a 2 and a 1 and a 0,
Letting it all go because it is safe to let it go.
What you have done is leave the past in the past and allowed your body to come back to present time.
Now let us replace that limiting belief with a more empowering one.
Bring to mind your new belief.
Repeat it in your mind.
Your new belief could be I am enough,
I am loved,
I am capable,
I am loving or I am peace.
Just choose one and as you say the words of this belief in your mind,
Breathe in the lightness that it brings.
Repeat the words again in your mind and feel the lightness and joy.
This is your new belief.
This is what you choose to believe from this moment forward.
Whatever you consciously choose to believe is positive for you and for your life and it's positive for all around you.
This new belief will bring more joy,
More happiness,
Contentment,
Security and any other positive emotions you identify with.
Think of these positive emotions,
Feel the feelings of these emotions.
If you can't feel them just get a sense of them.
Think of what they would feel like if you had all of these beautiful emotions in your body.
Now think if these beautiful positive emotions had a colour,
What colour would they be?
Think of this colour in your mind.
If you can't think of a colour just choose your favourite colour.
Now visualise above your head a beautiful cloud of the colour you have chosen and inside that beautiful coloured cloud is all of those beautiful emotions,
Happiness,
Contentment,
Love and laughter,
Joy and peace and any other emotion you want to add into the cloud you have the power to do so.
It is your cloud.
Inside this cloud is your new belief.
So once again repeat that belief and see it inside the cloud surrounded by all these beautiful positive emotions.
Now at the base of this cloud there's a little tear and watch as this colour floods down from the cloud and into your head.
Down over your forehead and into the centre of your head floods this beautiful colour and all of these beautiful emotions infused with your new belief.
Repeat the words of your new belief and fill your head and face with these positive emotions.
Coming down your neck and into your shoulders,
Spreading out over your shoulders and down into your chest.
Spreading joy and happiness with this new belief as this belief pours into your body filling up all of your cells with these positive emotions and your new empowering belief.
Filling up your body into your torso,
Spreading out through your stomach,
Over your hips,
Down into your legs and now as your body is full of this new belief and your positive emotions supporting it you have begun to reprogram yourself with this new belief.
You are accepting all of these beautiful emotions,
Emotions of joy and peace and contentment are now part of your everyday life.
You are happy,
You are peaceful and once again repeat your new belief.
Taking a nice big deep breath,
Come back into your body.
In your own time you can open your eyes.
You can repeat this meditation as many times as you want for any other limiting beliefs you think you may have.
Remember this meditation will help you to not only cognitively change your beliefs but energetically and emotionally too.
