Take a peaceful walk in the clouds in this sleep meditation story. As you float amongst the stars and clouds of a night sky you relax, lose inhibitions, and begin to drift off. There is a body scan integrated into this session with all the necessary visualization you will need to help you fall asleep. You can use this meditation before or as you lie in your bed.

This meditation is for promoting a restful and relaxing,
Easy sleep.
Listening to the words that you hear,
Interpret them in your own way,
As this is a very personal and individual time for you.
By using your imagination to immerse yourself deeply in this meditation,
You will become very relaxed and eventually fall asleep.
Now as you close your eyes for sleep,
Begin by giving yourself permission to let go of today and accept that you are important in this moment.
As you adjust to the releasing of energy in your body,
Your mind begins to clear.
Your body automatically aligns and your mind settles.
There is no need to do anything in this moment.
Let today go one area at a time.
Perhaps you notice that your neck loosens,
Or you are aware of the sensation of the gentle rising and lowering of your chest.
Like a cycle of warm waves on an ocean beach,
Each exhalation begins to relax every muscle.
This is a time to be calm,
Still and indifferent,
A time to allow your own peaceful thoughts to reassure you of a deep,
Refreshing sleep.
As the air that you inhale enters your body,
It cleanses and relaxes all it touches with each sleepy breath.
Your throat loosens and widens to accept deeper and longer breaths of relieving restfulness.
On your next exhalation,
Your face relaxes,
Your eyes become softer,
Your cheeks begin to smooth out and your jaw slowly widens.
As the air works its way down your body,
Your shoulders slide downwards with the tops of your arms.
Every easy breath,
Automatically tuning your awareness to sleep.
Breathing out further from the outside world,
Your chest and arms begin to sink as each muscle loosens.
Each breath becoming more restful.
Now your awareness fades out a little further as you sense the beginnings of sleep.
Your back and lower back has a sensation of lowering and becoming heavier.
Your body slowly lowering more.
Your arms release all energy,
Allowing your wrists,
Hands and fingers to let go too.
As you become less aware of your surroundings,
The experience of sleep starts to take over.
With the lower activity in your mind,
Your heart beat calms to a slower rhythm,
Promoting peace throughout your whole body.
Inactive overthinking allows you to relax more now,
Sliding through into a very relaxed state.
Your hips and thighs sinking deeply into the cushioned surface of sleep.
The downward force of gravity can only be felt.
Each leg now silently loosening.
And as your knees unlock,
Your calves,
Ankles and feet float into a slow descent.
Slowly relaxing now,
Becoming comfortable in this peaceful state,
You feel the last of any energy you have as they automatically splay in relaxation.
Your mind clear and only observing the blissful quiet of this moment.
Your body is warm,
Still and resting comfortably.
As everything now slows down,
Your mind begins to open up a clear space for your own imagination to fill.
In an empty part of your mind,
You see an out of focus scene of a tranquil beach.
With each breath,
The beach becomes clearer to see.
Breathing automatically now,
As the picture of sea and sand becomes vivid,
Feel the warm comfortable heat of the sun on your skin,
Helping you to relax.
Allow the warmth you sense,
Untighten,
Untense and undo any tension felt in your toes,
Feet and ankles.
Relaxing calmly,
Your mind now fills with the atmosphere of this tropical paradise of freedom.
Palm trees share their white noise whispers as the leaves rustle in the warm soft breeze that blows.
The sand you lie upon is soft,
Comfortable and radiates a heat that allows your body to settle further.
As your feet sink downwards,
Perhaps scooping the sand,
Your knees unlock,
Allowing your calves to loosen.
Your whole body now descending downwards into a peaceful and restful position.
With the warm breeze blowing across your body,
The sand beneath you shapes itself to your thighs.
Going deeper into the feeling of warmth and safety,
You relax into every comforting sensation.
No more thinking is required now as your mind is now filled with the most positive mood and thoughts.
As your legs sink further down into the sand,
Your hips and buttocks relax,
Allowing your lower back to free itself of any unwanted tension.
As the rest of your back and shoulders disregard anything negative,
Your rib cage widens to allow the pure,
Clean aqua scented air to enter your lungs.
Now allowing the willingness of your desire to let go more,
Your shoulders hinge each arm down,
Aligning with the rest of your body.
Each wrist now limp,
Each hand softer,
And every finger unfurling with relief.
Going deeper and heavier now,
Your neck,
Throat and jaw relaxes,
Slowly allowing your head to gravitate downwards.
Just as can be,
You lie still,
Peaceful and very calm.
With your mind and body in a flow of blissful rejuvenation,
You enjoy every moment,
All the while going deeper into a most relaxed state of hibernation.
The warm sun is energising on your skin,
The subtle breeze washes away any concerns,
And the small waves soothe your every muscle in this moment.
Your mind and body begin to evaporate and have the sensation of feeling much lighter.
With each and every breath out,
You start to float upwards.
As the sun sets on this warm summers day that you see in your mind,
You look down below at the landscape of the beach,
You see the palm trees that line the shore,
The sand glistening from the warming colours of dusk.
You are hypnotised by the small rolling waves that wash up on the fine white granules of sand.
Each wave you hear,
Taking you deeper.
As you slowly float up higher,
You notice the long stretching countryside that meets the beach.
The contrast of the greenery and shoreline has a fresh scent of peace and bliss.
Drifting upwards,
Your breathing becomes free and calm,
And your body light as can be.
You are content in this moment,
Away from anything and floating towards the best night sleep.
The air now becomes slightly cooler to the heat of the sun that has set.
An orange glow spreads across the sky that you travel,
Making you feel warm and safe.
Observing this aerial view,
You notice that everything has seemingly slowed down.
The once rustling trees move no more.
The waves look suspended in time,
And even your own mind has come to only appreciate this present moment.
All the muscles in your legs feel fresh and rejuvenated,
Your ankles loose as your feet dangle along the journey to sleep.
Your hips and thighs have a freedom of movement in every way.
Your stomach and back feel no tension or pressure at all,
As your chest fills with those deeper and longer breaths of calmness.
The tops of your arms and shoulders are away from any stressful or negative thoughts,
Your arms wavering like the rustling leaves on the trees down below.
You are now integrated with the energy of the earth.
As you think no more and just observe,
You feel your neck and head becoming a little more loose.
As the orange sky turns to a purple and then a deep dark blue,
The moon rises and drifts in orbit.
Passing clouds now,
Your eyelids become heavy,
Trying to focus upon anything.
Your body relaxing more and more,
You now let go of any concerns you may have had.
Now above the clouds that silently float,
You slow down,
Almost levitating in the air.
Your legs now dangle downwards,
Your body lifting up.
As your feet angle themselves,
You float down to the top of a cloud,
Your body now upright,
You land on the soft surface of this cotton wool substance.
Hardly feeling a thing,
You begin to walk.
Each silent step is as if there is no gravity as you bounce along across the sky.
Every time you spring away from the cloud,
You are brought back down gently to do it again.
Carefree in every way,
You walk across the clouds in the sky,
Your mind and body now free.
The fresh and now cooler air that you breathe only relaxes you more.
Every now and then,
You stop to peek through the caps in the clouds,
Now seeing a lighthouse beam slowly rotate and all the illuminations of a small village.
The warm air on this summers night creates a peaceful atmosphere in a very silent space.
As you continue on,
Gently bouncing your way across the clouds,
You see the moon up closer than you have ever seen it.
This yellow aura and glow is diffused through the clean white clouds.
The stars feel as if you could touch them,
They are so close.
You are away from any civilisation and now spending time with yourself is embraced in every way.
You notice how carefree and happy you are without the concerns of overthinking.
You are aware of appreciating things just the way they are and are filled with acceptance.
You observe your playful attitude in this moment of leaving inhibitions behind.
Overall,
You feel good about yourself.
As you look down on the earth below,
You become aware that you have gained perspective.
Observing your concerns from afar has given you a great boost in mood and energy.
Right now,
You have a sense of positivity,
Strength and confidence.
As you continue on,
You walk with the self love you feel inside.
You are aware of the quietness in your mind,
Comparable to the silent night you float across.
You sense everything becoming a little slower and more manageable in the way that you think.
It's ok to feel good about yourself and to have positive thoughts.
You deserve to relax,
To be calm and to feel peace from within.
As you place your foot on a cloud and float upwards,
A warmth can be felt in your chest and around your heart area.
Your heart and inner self now glow with contentedness and self love,
And as you raise up,
The energy from your inward intentions of being kind to yourself are rewarded as you float as light as a feather on your own.
Your own way of thinking and energy helps you to float across the sky.
Spending a little quiet time to reflect on things rather than being immersed in them helps greatly as you realise in this moment.
The freedom not only in movement but in thought is blissful.
You can be your own true self up here.
You are not restricted by anything and have the ability to be as relaxed as you wish.
Let yourself allow any thoughts to pass like the clouds that you explore.
As you do,
You realise that neither have any substance.
Peace is immeasurable and gratitude is radiated as you float slowly above the clouds.
There is no drama or situation of any kind here.
You can just be yourself.
Deciding to take a rest,
You sit down on one of the clouds.
The surface is as soft as cotton wool,
Hardly felt by your body.
Looking down,
You observe the stillness of everything.
No sounds are heard,
No movement is seen.
This place is a pleasant space to enjoy the peacefulness of being ever so relaxed.
Feel that tranquillity in your mind and body now.
Sense how clear your mind is in this moment,
The relief of any overthinking and clearness that has left.
Feel how relaxed your body is.
Take notice of each area now as you loosen any parts that need to be loosened.
You may perhaps feel your head becoming heavier.
Loosen your neck more if need be.
As you relax more and more,
You sense the softness of the muscles in your shoulders,
Allow them to become even more loose.
The tops of your arms are heavily weighed down by your hands.
Give them permission to let go more.
As you breathe those satisfying breaths of sleep,
Your chest untightens further.
Allow it to continue to relax.
As any last stirrings leave your abdomen,
The muscles in your lower back and stomach unfurl,
Helping you to feel settled.
Allow each breath out to loosen those muscles more.
With your legs heavily resting on a cloud of air,
Your knees,
Ankles,
Feet and toes tingle from the weight taken off them.
As you rest,
Feel them become heavier and more relaxed.
Calm,
Peaceful and still,
Your mind drifts in and out of awareness.
Sleep is all that can be felt consuming your mind and body.
Now feeling quite tired,
You begin to slowly descend downwards.
Saying good night to the moon and the night sky,
You float through the clouds.
Your eyelids becoming ever more heavier with the realisation of peace inside.
Your eyes now closing,
With your body now becoming limp.
Your own energy is bringing you gently down to earth.
As you drift in and out of consciousness,
Your awareness of everything begins to fade out.
You become warmer once again.
Everything is quiet.
As your head sinks downwards,
Tilting to the side,
You realise you are in bed.
The soft warming sheets keep you safe.
Your pillow cradles your head.
Each deep and lengthened breath takes you into a sleepier state.
Drifting along the current of each breath,
Your neck lets go of any strength that supports your head.
Your shoulders and the tops of your arms feel immense relief as your arms slide down by your sides,
Each breath taking you deeper into sleep.
There are no thoughts here,
Only positive images that help you transcend into this hibernation state.
On each outward breath,
Your chest deflates and your back splays into a more restful position.
Every moment,
A muscle is relaxing.
Down to your hips and thighs,
Which rest softly on your mattress.
Each leg,
Now heavy as can be,
Much like the rest of your body.
As you lose awareness and sounds fade away,
Your fingers and toes are the last to let go.
Each digit,
Free and loose,
Each toe automatically unfurling into a more comfortable position.
With each and every breath now also fading,
You slowly fade into the state of sleep.
As you sleep,
Only positive thoughts of self love,
Confidence and peace are felt.
Still feeling that glowing and warming energy within your chest and heart area,
All sounds now begin to fade out,
Even the sound of my voice.
You slide into a deep and restful sleep.
You are restful.
You are relaxed.
You are becoming calmer with each breath.
You are beginning to fade deeper into sleep.
You are unaware of any other sounds.
You are loose,
Calm and feeling peace.
You are breathing in sleep.
You are drifting and passing your thoughts.
You are leaving to day behind.
You are entering a night of restfulness.
You are breathing out tension.
You are breathing in peacefulness.
You are blissfully unaware of any distractions.
You are focused upon going to sleep.
You are finding a comfortable position to drift deeper.
You are observing the silence in your mind.
You are noticing your body less as you let go more.
You are settled in your own safe space.
You are too comfortable to move.
You are in a very sleepy state.
You are letting go completely now.
You are heavy with sleepy sensations.
You are sinking into a soft place called sleep.
You are only observing positive sensations.
You are sharing the peace in your mind with your body.
You are appreciating the calm loose muscles of your body with your mind.
You are finding a space in your mind that is filled with sleep.
You are entering the tunnel of sleep.
You are relaxing more and more.
You are tuning out any awareness completely.
You are breathing deeper and longer breaths.
You are sinking deeper into comfort and peace.
You are unaware of your body as you enter sleep.
You are only experiencing quiet and calm.
You are still calm and falling asleep.
You are then identifying the soul of your soul.
