Take a Journey to the deepest part of your mind where you perhaps hear or see guidance. A spirit guide can resemble many things and is a personal experience for everyone. This guided meditation will help you to connect with your spirit and also allow you to sleep whilst doing so. As you travel through to your subconscious you will connect with your higher self, falling asleep can sometimes make this experience more vivid.

Have you ever seen symbols or signs that are trying to tell you something?

Sometimes you can work them out,

But sometimes they seem hard to decipher.

Over the next half an hour,

You will open the channel for communication to help reveal the answers that you seek by connecting with your spirit guide.

This is a very open meditation as everyone's idea of spirit guides are very different.

This guided meditation will aid in unlocking your ability to communicate with your spirit,

Whether that be a person you see,

An animal or an energy.

If you are willing to let go a little and persevere,

You will see results.

Take in a slow deep breath and exhale as you are about to journey deep into mind,

Spirit and soul.

Opening in your mind's eye that whilst you listen to this meditation,

You are an observer,

Visualising words going past you and into your subconscious,

Seeing the words that I say sinking deep into your subconscious.

Relax as much as you can by taking notice of any muscles that seem tense.

By taking notice of them,

They will automatically relax a little.

Scan your body starting at your toes,

Let them tenderly loosen with each breath that you inhale and exhale.

Let your feet unwind,

Feeling weightless and easy.

Just smoothly scanning your ankles,

With each and every scan around each ankle,

They become weaker and looser.

This feeling spreads to your calf muscles,

Where they now start to rest into a comfortable position.

Unwound and relaxed,

Your thighs follow by feeling as if they are sinking deeper,

But also floating on air.

Beneath your legs,

You feel a warm sensation,

As if being elevated by warm liquid.

You are very safe as you float above this blissful feeling.

As the warm liquid supports your legs,

Your back and arms rise to float,

Easing each muscle along the way.

Your hands are warm,

Relaxed and free,

As are your arms,

Feeling weak,

And your back,

Now feeling relief of the warm liquid.

Life floating and relaxing more and more.

Your neck rises up,

Supported by the warmth that relaxes you further.

Your head is now buoyant,

And any thoughts that may have been passing through,

Have quietened down to a mumble in the background.

Feel your body rise with the relaxing warm liquid that supports you from beneath,

Rising higher and higher,

Relaxing more and more.

Now you are more relaxed and willing to be open,

I would like you to visualise something for me.

This may seem slightly absurd,

As I talk to your subconscious,

I reassure you that it will make sense in a moment.

In the same way that you think about things and build pictures in your mind,

Visualise an orange,

See the orange in your minds eye.

See its texture and colour,

Smelling its sweet scent.

Your subconscious is a powerful tool,

As you visualise the orange,

You may well be able to smell its sweetness,

Your mouth perhaps watering,

Or you may feel its texture.

Let your mind peel back the layer of skin,

To reveal all the segments of the orange underneath.

You may see this happening as if the orange is opening itself,

Or you may see physical hands doing the work,

Any way this works for you is correct.

Seeing the segments,

Your senses are delighted and also heightened where you want more,

Where your desire of wanting more is elevated.

The smell may become stronger,

The texture more real,

And you may be able to taste the orange.

If your subconscious can visualise an orange to the point of manifesting physical reactions in your body,

Then it is very capable of communicating with spirit.

Moving past the orange,

You only see what your mind sees in front of you,

Whatever that may be.

If there is a question that you would like to ask,

Picture that scene in your minds eye and see yourself asking for guidance.

Your subconscious,

Willing,

Able and very open,

Sees the scene in front of you and like the orange,

Peels back the scene to reveal what is beneath.

Hidden in the scene is a parallel energy form,

Whether that be an energy you can communicate with,

A person or an animal,

It is there to be found.

In every scene in our lives,

Spirit guides are in the background somewhere.

Have you ever noticed a feather appearing,

As if someone was sending you a sign,

Or meeting someone with very similar circumstances?

This is the intervention of your spirit guide.

Have you ever wondered why you make the decisions that you do when looking for an answer to something?

That voice or words that you see is your spirit guide.

You may well have conversations with yourself,

As if seemingly talking with someone else.

This is your spirit guide.

That question you asked a moment ago,

In the scene depicted in your mind,

Go back to it.

Is there anyone or anything there giving you an indication of an answer or guidance?

Is there something there that may seem out of place but familiar to you?

It may even be a voice in your own head,

One that sounds like you,

Or a feeling like intuition in your abdomen.

Let your subconscious be aware of the scene,

In every detail.

Your spirit guide is always there.

Sometimes it may be harder to communicate,

As you have to reveal the answers yourself on occasion with only a small number of clues that you have been given.

Pay attention to your eyes now.

When you seem to get an answer,

Do your eyes move in a way differently as if you were listening to someone else?

Do you get an air of certainty with an answer that seemingly resonates with you?

This is your spirit guide communicating with you.

There could be many signs shown to you,

A song playing in the physical world,

Or you randomly find someone humming a tune that you haven't heard in a while,

Or a flash of someone passing your mind,

Looking like someone that you know.

These are all signs,

And how you find the answer is to ask more questions.

By asking more,

You are building the muscle of communication between yourself and your spirit guide.

As time goes by and you strengthen your ability to communicate,

A stream of answers will be easier to see.

In a moment,

You are going to begin falling asleep.

It's now time to take these memories into sleep where you perhaps can go deeper.

You are letting go of your day by sinking into ease and comfort.

Everything is slowing down from your breathing to your thoughts.

You find tranquility in this peaceful moment of stillness.

You are enough right now.

The warmth of self love you feel helps you make peace with today.

Allowing every part of you to rest now,

You let go of your worries,

Even if just for now.

You leave every other negative emotion behind as you close your eyes,

Readying yourself for a restful sleep.

You know that by releasing everything negative,

You can be present enough to slumber down in the space that you create in your mind.

You are warm and safe.

You can recall this feeling any time you wish.

Your slowing down of thought is recognised in the gentle loosening of your chest.

You clear away all that does not serve you.

Your back and neck rest heavier in each recognised moment of drifting out of consciousness,

Going deeper each time.

You slide deeper into the dream world,

Where everything is soft,

Gentle and peaceful.

As you close your eyes,

You close your day with gratitude.

You cherish this time that you have being warm and comfortable.

You are happy with the things that you have achieved today,

Even if they were the smallest of things.

You appreciate everything that you are as you rest your head down in relief.

You are now falling asleep with only positive thoughts in your mind,

Which only relax your body more.

As your breathing becomes calmer,

It reminds you that your sleep will be calm too.

The night air soothes you down with each and every breath that you take.

As you sleep,

You know that the sun will rise once again,

Taking you out of darkness.

The atmosphere of this peaceful night will replenish your energy.

Every feeling you sense is of softness,

Calmness and positivity.

Sleep is a choice.

You decide to delve deeper as you rest your mind and body.

You are receiving peace from the universe as you release yourself from today.

As you let go more,

You are brought healing to your feelings and emotions from the serene stillness of the night.

There is silence inside,

Your body still.

You observe your breaths,

Settling you down on a bed of dreams.

As you sleep,

Your mind relaxes more and your body releases all tension.

As you sleep,

You become wiser from the experiences of today,

Allowing you to be calmer tomorrow.

Time is such a magical time of stillness,

You absorb the silence by allowing your muscles to soften.

Your eyelids become heavier as they too are cooled by the gentle air of the night.

You look to the warmth inside yourself to relax some more.

As you take each gentle deeper breath,

Your mind becomes even clearer.

Your fingers and the palms of your hands release any grasp of awareness,

Unfurling easily into a restful position.

Your toes expel any negative energy out as you slide away and into your dream world.

With your mind becoming clearer,

Your neck muscles allow your head to rest down further.

Any stress,

Worry or negative feelings are unwound from your abdomen,

Sinking your lower back into your bed.

Becoming ever so relaxed now,

The muscles behind your ears release your jaw,

Unclenching into a widening of peace.

Your breath seems to be deepening and lengthening as you let go more.

As you release anything holding you back from relaxing,

The effects of what you have achieved and realised results in a loosening of your calf muscles.

Breathing calmly and gently,

Your body automatically slumps into a comfortable,

Warm and safe position for sleep.

Feeling as if a gentle and soft nature in this moment,

You let go some more.

Heavier and heavier you go,

Further into a positive place in your mind,

There is no need for you to think any more today.

You slide and glide towards this special place of freedom.

Needing sleep is your only concern for the moment,

You delve deeper into the image of sleep that you see.

Non-sensical thoughts drift past and by as you wander through them like a cloud to your destination.

As you slide through the thoughts that you no longer are concerned about,

You make it to the edge of your dream world.

Everything is softer and more silent in this moment.

You leave behind the noise of internal chatter and any concerns you may have had.

The grasp of any tension now weakens as you willingly enter into your dream world of peaceful sleep.

Your fingers and toes now tingle in the tranquil calmness that this gentle atmosphere now brings.

In your dream world,

You see all your wishes and dreams come true,

You see the real you.

Your inner being is comforted with everything you experience in this safe place.

You have left behind yesterday,

Being in between time and space of your own creation.

Anything you wish to desire or feel is here in this pleasing space of your imagination.

You gift yourself with further relaxation with the exhilarating deepened breath of calmness that you breathe.

Floating along,

Gliding into your own world of space and peacefulness,

You begin to paint onto your own blank canvas.

As you float deeper into sleep,

Your body warms with the positivity that it sees.

You choose to lose yourself in the depths of relaxation that you now feel.

You leave behind thoughts that do not benefit you and replace them with a glow of self love.

Your energy begins to shine,

Lighting your aura into a purple glow of the love that you show for your inner self.

Your true self is now free in this interpretation of your safe place.

Down below you see a landscape of land and sea,

Gliding through a deep blue sky.

The ripples of the gentle waves of the vast ocean twinkle in the warm sunlight above.

Your eyes take in the soft and pleasing delight of the nature below in the green lands that stretch far into the horizon.

Your eyelids becoming heavier as you go through the clouds,

Some thick and some only wisps of white.

As your eyes become weary and your body more relaxed,

You fix your focus on an area down below.

Slowing down,

You choose a spot and aim your body to glide into a smooth descent.

Getting closer to the place that you have chosen in your dream world,

You become sleepier,

Closing your eyes every now and then as your body automatically floats downwards.

The cool air soothes every muscle down and a deepening effect is felt as the sun's warmth is felt in the pockets of air.

Moving smoothly,

Silently and peacefully,

You are almost at your place of choosing.

Your legs and arms now light as a feather,

Dangling only on the air and energy of your own peacefulness.

Gliding down,

You are but a few feet off the ground.

You float slowly along,

Observing the creations of your own positive inner thoughts.

Feel the peacefulness of this fantastically relaxing place.

This is manifested by your own self-love inside.

As you float to your destination for the night,

You slowly settle down onto the ground.

This place can be as colourful as you wish.

You can even decide whether the sun stays where it is or sets to help you relax more.

You can find everything you need here to bring the most comfort to yourself.

Now as you experience your dream world,

You completely lose yourself in this space that is just for you.

Allow your shoulders to roll down some more as you pleasantly smile in the doing of being present.

Only warmth,

Comfort and peace is bestowed upon your every emotion at this time.

Let yourself deeper to experience more.

The tops of your arms soften in every way,

Loosening your chest as you play amongst the dreams that you discover.

Explore your inner self,

Uncovering the hidden balance of just being you.

Like a child,

You immerse yourself completely,

Focusing only on the here and now.

Peace is the one feeling you hold onto.

Discover more about this space in your mind and of your inner self.

Feel how free you are of negativity.

Here the scales are tipped undoubtedly towards positivity.

Be you in this moment,

With everything that you are and doing things in your own way.

Now as you absorb every meaningful and pleasing sensation,

Your eyelids become heavy.

Finding a spot in your surroundings of tranquility,

Wherever this may be,

You settle down for the night.

Open your eyes some more,

You sleep inside your own dream,

Down into the deepest of sleeps.

Your body sinking down,

Every muscle relaxing softly and gently.

Your face now at peace as you fall asleep in this wondrous place.

Your hands and fingers let go,

Your arms slumped into a comfortable position and your mind clear.

Lose yourself again as you fall asleep once more,

Deep into your own imagination.

As you close your eyes,

You see another dream world,

This one ten times more fulfilling than the last.

Releasing and letting go with everything that you are,

Your breathing becomes even deeper,

Your chest loose and free.

What in the world!? I was snoring but awake, then I felt like I could not wake up like I was being pulled into sleep. It was a bit scary! But I was really happy I was able to go back to sleep in the morning. Usually after a bad nights sleep my cortisol is up and I’m not able to fall back asleep. But this did it! Just in a crazy way. Haha

This was a different guided meditation from any other I’ve experienced. Right from the start it was so beautiful and soothing as if I were floating on a cloud. Every word and suggestion resonated and enhanced my visualisation. I often see an elephant but I didn’t realise that this was my spirit guide - and maybe Ganesha? My visualisation of this image became more vivid and colourful. I didn’t hear any sound or words just a calming and reassuring peace emitting from this image. I actually fell asleep before the end.
