Take a journey to the future to visit the you that has achieved all your dreams. What would that version of you say to you today? This meditation will take you on a journey to meet the future you in order to help you become more aligned with behaviors that will assist you in building the life that you truly desire.

Hi,
My name is Shenhua Hawk,
And welcome to our visualization meditation called Future Self.
The intention with this meditation is to connect you to the person you've always wanted to be.
For some of us,
There's a lot of fear in between the person that we are today and the person that we'd like to exist as in the future.
So join me as we take a leap over that fear and introduce ourselves to the person we truly want to be.
But before we get started,
Find a safe and comfortable spot where you can sit up straight during this meditation.
You will need a mirror or your phone nearby in selfie mode or anything you can use to see your reflection.
I'll let you know when you need it.
Feel free to pause this recording while you get yourself set up.
Let's go ahead and release a little tension with a few cleansing breaths,
Breathing in through your nose and out through your mouth.
If breathing through your nose is difficult for any reason,
It's perfectly fine to just breathe through your mouth.
Don't worry.
You're not doing it wrong.
Now close your eyes and let's get started.
Take a deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Feel any tension or stress begin to leave your body.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Allow yourself to begin to relax knowing that you are safe here.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Allow yourself to let go of any limiting thoughts or fears about who you are today.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Deep breath in and breathe out slowly.
Imagine you are holding a book in your hands.
Feel the weight of this very heavy book.
This book is about your life.
From the day you were born right up until the moment you started this meditation.
Every triumph,
Every mistake,
Every moment of joy and pain you've experienced in your life is in this book.
Now imagine yourself flipping to the very last page of this book.
This last page contains everything you've done today up to the moment you started this meditation.
Now imagine that there is a pen in your hand.
Take a look at the very last sentence on this page.
Now take your pen and write the words.
The end.
Look at the words you just wrote.
The end.
Now close the book and imagine yourself putting it on a shelf.
You are no longer bound by what's in that book.
Good or bad,
That story is complete.
You are free to walk away from the book and leave it on the shelf.
You are at peace with the knowledge that there is nothing you can do to change anything in that book.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Now imagine you are sitting back comfortably in your chair.
And there is another book in your hands.
This book is completely blank.
This book begins the moment you complete this meditation.
And you get to decide what the story will be.
You get to decide if you will rewrite chapters from your old book or if you will create something new.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Deep breath in and exhale slowly.
Now take the new book and just sit it to the side.
The time to write in this new book will come after you've made a decision about where you want to go.
So you can make sure that the new story that you write each day will bring you closer to your ultimate goal.
Now imagine you are in the future.
You can decide how far,
5 years,
10 years,
20 years,
It's up to you.
The you in the future has created the life that you desire right now.
This is the you that you have always dreamed of being.
They are not separate from you or a distant dream.
They are you and they are unaffected by any limitations you may have experienced up until today.
Take a moment and allow the picture of who you are in the future to come to your mind.
What are you wearing?
What does your house look like?
What kind of car are you driving?
Are you running a business or a household?
Working at your dream job?
What are you doing?
What kind of friends do you have?
Allow yourself to feel their happiness.
Feel it deep on the inside.
Allow yourself to feel their confidence and success.
Go ahead and smile while you're feeling these good feelings.
Feel the excitement of what it would mean to achieve all of your dreams.
This is you right now.
This is not a dream.
It's not a far off hope.
They are you.
You are now in the future.
And all you have to do is decide to allow yourself to step into the experience of the future you.
How does it feel to be that person that you've always wanted to be?
If for some reason you are feeling some sort of resistance right now,
It's because you're holding on to your old story.
Remember the last words you wrote in that book were the end.
The end.
And then you place that book on the shelf.
That book represents a version of you that no longer exists.
You are free to let it go.
See and feel this new life that you've built for yourself in the future.
You've already achieved all of the things that you've ever wanted to achieve.
You have the home you want.
You have the marriage or relationship that you've always dreamed of.
Everything is just the way you've always wanted it to be.
Now from this vantage point,
From this place of having achieved everything you've wanted in life,
What advice would you give to the you that is currently sitting and doing this meditation?
Deep breath in and exhale slowly.
When you're ready,
I want you to open your eyes,
But keep holding this space as your future self.
Hold on to the feeling of having achieved all that you've ever wanted to.
With your eyes open and still holding that space as your future self,
I want you to pick up your mirror or your phone and selfie mode or whatever you're using to look at your reflection.
Go ahead and take a look at yourself.
Remember that you are in the future living your best life and you've been given a moment to look back at the you that exists today.
What are you going to tell them?
Do you want the old you to know?
What advice would you give yourself?
Take a moment and just look at you.
And when you're ready,
At the end of this meditation,
Write down any advice you'd like to give yourself.
Remember,
You are writing yourself from the future.
You have achieved all or maybe even more than you've ever dreamed of.
What would you tell you that sitting here today is possible?
Are there any behaviors that you may need to change in order for you to achieve your goals?
Are there people in your life that you need to let go of so you're free to fly?
Only you know what you need to know.
As we close out this meditation with a few breaths,
Remember that you've already written the end of your previous story.
You don't have to keep reliving that experience.
You have the power to write a brand new story.
Make it a good one.
Take a deep breath in and exhale slowly.
