This is a meditation for when the season changes,
When the leaves turn color,
When the air gets crisp,
Cool,
And bright.
Something within us shifts too.
There's a quiet invitation in nature's rhythm,
A gentle nudge to witness the weather inside of our own hearts.
Sometimes,
Like the trees,
We're called to release,
To let go of the vibrant,
Familiar leaves that once gave us shade.
To trust they will return,
Just different,
But just as vital.
Midlife can feel like one of those seasons,
A turning,
Not just in our physiology,
But in how we see ourselves.
It can bring discomfort,
Doubt,
Resistance,
But also a profound beauty if we let it.
So just breathe into that season now,
Whatever it is for you.
Let your breath meet the discomfort,
The change,
The unfamiliar.
Let it remind your nervous system that this is just a transition,
Not the end.
Some days,
The colors fade.
Other days,
They come back with fire,
But every day holds its own intelligence.
If your body feels tired,
If your mood is shifting,
If you feel like you're not quite yourself,
Just know you're in the chrysalis.
Something sacred is being unveiled.
This is not spiritual bypass.
This is not pretending the hard things aren't extremely real.
It's simply saying to your body,
I love you through this,
We are changing,
And we are safe to change.
The wind may be loud,
The storm may be messy,
But you are not lost in it.
You are being reshaped.
So breathe love into yourselves.
Send compassion to your whole physiology.
This is a sacred season,
One that sharpens you,
Strengthens you,
And asks you to stay soft in the process.
Let yourself learn here.
Let yourself be held.
Let yourself rise.
When you're ready,
You return to your breath.
Wiggle your fingers,
Your toes.
Let the body remember that it's safe here.
This season,
It's just a chapter,
And your story is still being written.
Come back to this space anytime you need the reminder,
Anytime the winds of change feel loud,
Or the stillness feels too quiet.
Let this be a return to your center.
And if you know someone who needs this,
Someone in their own turning,
In their own letting go or becoming,
Share it with them.
