This short practice is for moments when you’ve hit your edge — when pushing through isn’t working, your mind feels muddy, and slowing down feels unfamiliar or unsafe. Many of us learned to stay productive, alert, and in motion to feel okay. This pause isn’t about escaping your life or giving up. It’s about softening the habit of bracing so you can return with more clarity and steadiness. You don’t need long breaks or perfect stillness for this to help. Small moments like this gently teach your nervous system that it’s okay to pause without everything falling apart. This practice can be done with eyes open or closed, anytime your brain feels too full, the tasks feel too heavy, or your willpower feels far away. You’re welcome to listen again or place it on repeat whenever you need a moment to come back to yourself.

Pause with me for three minutes.

When your body stops bracing,

Receiving becomes possible again.

If it feels comfortable,

Put a hand on your heart just to say,

I'm here.

Let's soften your system together.

Slowing down your breath,

We're going to do four in,

Four out.

Inhale,

I am safe.

Exhale to receive.

Inhale,

I am safe.

Exhale to receive.

Inhale,

I am safe.

Exhale to receive.

Feel your hand rise and fall as you continue to breathe.

Your body knows how to soften.

It just needed permission.

Keep the four in,

Four out breath.

Nice and slow.

Inhale,

I trust.

Exhale,

My worse.

Keep your breathing slow and steady.

Worth isn't earned by effort.

Your breath lets your system remember what your mind forgets.

Keep the breathing steady.

Inhale and exhale for four.

Inhale the breath.

Exhale provides.

Inhale the breath.

Exhale provides.

Let your heart soften under your hand.

Some things arrive the moment you stop bracing for them.

Slow your breathing.

One last slow inhale and an easy,

Complete exhale.

If this gave you even a small shift,

You can put it on a loop or share it with someone who's holding too much today.
