If your mind feels messy right now,
Tangled,
Overwhelmed,
Or like you're holding too much,
Take one breath with me,
Because one intentional breath can signal safety to your nervous system.
Inhale slowly through your nose for four.
Exhale gently for four.
Now just keep that breath going,
Flowing naturally.
Let that breath begin to soften the edges of this moment.
You don't have to fix the messiness.
You don't have to solve everything right now.
The real practice is learning how to meet the moment inside the mess.
Because when you pause and breathe like this,
You teach your body something powerful.
You teach your nervous system that even when things feel tangled,
Uncertain,
Or overwhelming,
You can return to steadiness.
Not by pushing the moment away,
But by breathing with it.
Allow the breath to keep moving naturally in and out.
And now let's bring a quiet message to the breath.
Inhale.
It's okay to feel messy sometimes.
Exhale.
My nervous system can handle this.
Again,
Inhale.
I can meet this moment.
Exhale.
I can soften through it.
Another slow breath.
Inhale.
This feeling is allowed.
Exhale.
This feeling can move.
Inhale.
Nothing in this moment is permanent.
Exhale.
I will return to steadiness.
Just stay here with this deep breathing,
Meeting whatever is present without fixing it,
Without rushing it,
Just breathing with it.
These small practices are here to meet you in life's messy moments,
Helping you breathe into them,
Create space around them,
And slowly build new memories in your body.
If this practice helped you today,
Feel free to share it with someone who might need it.
And if you'd like more,
I share free weekly meditations to support you in finding steadiness again and again.
Together we rise.
