This guided meditation will take you on a journey to meet your traveler's mind.
The mindset in you that is curious about adventures,
Both inner and outer journeys.
The mind that is eager to explore.
So take a seat,
Get comfortable and close your eyes.
Take a few deep breaths to wash away your thoughts and allow yourself to arrive completely in your body.
Today we will be exploring the feeling of curiosity and open-mindedness.
To do this,
I invite you to recall a moment or situation in your life when you embarked on a new adventure.
This could be a time you traveled to a new place.
Maybe you enrolled in a new course.
Perhaps you went for a solo walk in the park,
Ate at a new restaurant or started learning a new hobby.
Whatever it is,
Take a moment to recall this memory with all of your senses.
And now that you've got this situation in your mind,
What do you see?
Are there any sounds that you can hear?
Can you recall any smells or tastes?
What do you feel in your body?
Where in your body is this memory present?
Take a moment here to really explore this memory with your curious and open mind as if it is happening right now.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale,
Gently let the memory fade,
Letting it drift away as you return to your body.
You are now going to keep this curious open mind as you explore your body with your breath.
Imagine that your body is a place and your breath is the explorer.
As you breathe,
Notice where your breath travels.
Where does it wander?
What does your breath do to your body?
Without judgment or control,
Let the breath journey through your body like it is a traveler in new terrain.
Take a deep breath now and let it go,
Releasing all control and thoughts and coming back to the sensations of your body.
As you slowly come back into the present,
Think about where you can bring more of your traveler's mind into your everyday experiences.
Perhaps you can become more curious as you enjoy your meals.
Maybe you take a walk to a new part of your town that you have not yet visited.
Perhaps you can connect in with your explorer breath as you complete an easy task,
Something such as cleaning your teeth,
Making your bed,
Walking down the street.
Make a commitment to yourself that you will spend time with your traveler's mind.
The more time you spend in this state of curiosity and learning,
The more open you will be to new experiences as they arrive.
Practice saying yes to adventure and feel what changes this can bring into your everyday life.
Take one last deep breath here and as you exhale,
Gently allow your eyes to open to the new possibilities awaiting for you now that your traveler's mind is activated.
Have a beautiful day.
