Lying down in a comfortable position.
Gently settle your body so you can rest easy.
Your body feeling heavy on the bed.

You can imagine that they are resting heavy and falling asleep.
Your head is gently cradled by your pillow.
Notice the change in sensation as you allow your head and scalp to relax.
Your forehead softens,
Your temple relaxing,
Falling asleep.
Your jaw,
Mouth and tongue resting heavy,
Relaxed,
Falling asleep.
Your neck,
Shoulders,
Collarbones are drifting off into sleep.
Falling deeper asleep.
Your arms,
Your hands and fingers are falling asleep,
Sleeping deeply.
The gentle rhythm of the lungs,
Breathing in the air,
Rising on the breath in and relaxed on the breath out.
Your chest is falling asleep,
Drifting off into a deep sleep.
The muscles in your upper back,
Middle back and lower back are switching off and falling asleep.
You feel safe and secure.
Your legs,
Femurs and hamstrings are falling asleep.
Your calves and shins are falling asleep.
You are safe and secure.
Your feet and toes are falling asleep.
There is nothing for you to do,
Except to listen to my voice.
The sound of my voice that is helping you drift deeper and deeper into sleep.

You're drifting deeper and deeper.
