Hello there.
Welcome back to Day 2 of Being Productive and Peaceful While You're Working From Home.
Today's theme is Create.
Remember we've chosen a word a day for five days and they all start with C just for consistency's sake.
So before we start creating and filling that beautiful space that we cleared out from our day one yesterday of clearing,
Let's take a deep breath in and breathe out,
All is well.
One more time we'll breathe in and we'll breathe out,
All is well.
The word create can mean a lot of things.
To me it means generating something from nothing like that painting that you've always wanted to finish or a pet portrait or the poem you wanted to write or the short story that came to you in a dream.
There might be those things that have been nagging at you to get created.
Maybe that's your muse telling you,
Hey,
There's this thing you should create that's art.
But creation can also mean generating a conversation.
It can mean starting a process that you've wanted to start.
It can mean changing a habit or behavior so that it becomes positive and that it serves you in your life.
So a couple suggestions for creating today is to not tackle all the things.
If you're in any sort of business or entrepreneurial world,
It may feel tempting to think about all the videos or blog posts or podcasts you want to start,
Which is great.
And absolutely you want to tackle creating the content you need to create that is in line with any goals you've set.
But if this is the first time you're taking on this five day series to be productive and peaceful while you're working from home,
I encourage you to just create the thing that's been nagging at you,
If there is one.
It could be something artistic that you don't normally do,
Don't normally give yourself time to do or haven't thought about because you've been caught up in the day to day of normal life.
This is an opportunity for you to take that time and just get that out and get it created.
You can also create any sort of writing.
So maybe you want to write some postcards to friends.
Maybe you want to write a chapter of a book you've been thinking about.
It's okay to take this time to rest and relax.
But if you've ever said the words,
I don't have enough time to do that,
Now is the time.
So if you wanted to write that book,
Today's the day to start writing 10 sentences or 10 pages,
Whatever feels good to you so that you've gotten that first step because the next step is so much easier than the first step.
You can create videos.
Tuesdays are a great day to get dolled up,
To get the lighting good,
To put your phone camera up on a little stand and to create some content that you can reuse and repurpose in multiple places.
I always encourage my clients to make sure that they're using any video content they create for all sorts of different audiences,
Whether it's YouTube,
Facebook,
Instagram,
Or IGTV.
You can place these videos in so many different places and you can also extract the audio to make a podcast if you wanted to.
It depends on what you're talking about and what sort of information you want to be sharing.
Are you serving a certain community?
Are you giving an insight into your life?
Are you performing a song live?
What's the content?
If you're someone who has a mailing list,
You could also create a video and checking in with them.
It's always nice to see someone's face pop up in my inbox.
There are a whole lot of different things that you can do to create today and use today as a time to generate something from nothing.
There's something very powerful about seeing something that you created from nothing.
So end the day with that feeling of,
I created something today,
Whether it was a video for work or a series of emails or you just got that poem out of your system that you've been thinking about.
Whatever it is,
Take that first step and when you come back next week,
You can create something different.
So I encourage you to go create something today.
Enjoy the process of creating and know that even if there's a lot of darkness around you,
You are the source of your own lights.
I will see you tomorrow for a day all about collecting.
