In this journey through the imagination, we disengage from the world and transform into a fluffy seed, taking flight with the breeze, expanding and soaring to new heights. As we float with and as the clouds high above earth, we gain a birdseye view of life and connect to our true, expansive, free, eternal nature. We're also breaking energy with the outside world for a bit, to allow natural energy realignments to take place effortlessly. Music by Dennis Hawk

Hello and welcome to Cottonwood Seed.

Today we are going to do something imaginative.

We're going to take a journey,

An energetic journey.

We're not leaving our bodies with this journey.

We are actually going to expand our consciousness and feel ourselves free in the wind,

In the air and the sky.

Free like a cottonwood seed.

Perhaps you've seen the cottonwood seeds floating in spring,

Much like a dandelion seed.

It's like a soft puff of cotton that floats in the breeze with no control,

No agenda and total freedom.

Draw your breath all the way into your belly and as you exhale just let yourself totally relax into your body.

If you need to adjust,

Wiggle or move,

Do it now so that you can totally relax.

Take a moment and take your whole life,

All of what you consider reality.

Let's toss it into one big bag,

Just like a suitcase.

Your day,

Your week,

Your life,

Your worries,

Your concerns,

Thoughts,

Responsibilities,

Everything and anything that's been on your mind or at the center of your focus.

Let's just put it in a suitcase,

Zip it up and right here right now toss it out of the room.

It'll be waiting for you when you are done and now that it's just you,

Your mind,

Your body,

Your breath and your inner world,

Let's take another nice deep breath and surrender into this beautiful now moment.

Feel your breath start to come into your senses and really turn your eyes inward.

Turn all of your awareness inward just like the whole world really does not exist right now and as you do start to relax inward,

Enjoy the beautiful embrace of your body,

Your breath,

Even the amazing beauty of getting to have your own time and space just for you.

Draw your breath down from your belly deep into your core all the way up through your body and as you exhale,

Feel a sweet release,

Sweet relief and start to feel your body decompress.

You can let your breath start to breathe on its own.

Essentially,

You can let go of all control.

No need to control the body whatsoever.

Let it hold,

Breathe and embrace you.

Relax more and more into the gentle waves,

The ebb and flow,

The rise and fall of your breath.

Allow every muscle to soften,

Relax and release.

If you notice any areas of your body holding pressure or tension,

Let them decompress.

Almost like a tire that is deflating,

Let your breath continue to relax inward,

Breath by breath.

Now,

That it is simply you and your inner world,

Nothing else exists,

Let's take a journey.

Feel into for a moment your childlike innocence.

You don't even have to remember that innocence of childhood specifically.

Feel into that beautiful childlike innocence and playfulness of your soul.

It is from a time beyond time and space,

Beyond responsibility,

Beyond fear,

Beyond certain ways to act,

Even beyond any hard coded,

Perceptual reality.

It's light,

It's free,

It's beautiful,

It's playful.

Feel into this sense of lightness and playfulness.

As you feel this,

As you continue to breathe,

Suddenly you realize that your body no longer exists.

In fact,

Where your body once was is now a beautiful,

Fluffy,

Weightless cottonwood seed.

You are simply this light,

Fluffy seed and where the walls once were around you,

They no longer exist.

You are laying in a beautiful green pasture,

Like a lush green meadow,

Just laying on the grass with bright,

Brilliant blue skies and a blazing sun.

As you realize you are no longer a body,

But you have become a cottonwood seed,

A light,

Fluffy,

Puffy piece of cotton.

You can feel the breeze running through every cell,

Every molecule of your cotton body.

It's a gentle,

Soft sweet breeze.

It feels very much like your breath in fact.

The breeze ebbs and flows and moves all throughout your entire form.

Not only do you feel this breeze,

But you feel this gentle warmth all upon you of the sun and the gentle support of the ground beneath you.

Feeling so held,

So loved,

So embraced from the breeze,

The sun and the earth.

As you wallow in the beauty and the ease of this moment,

The simplicity of just feeling all this beauty,

Before you know it,

You realize you're levitating.

The wind has gusted up and you have taken off.

You feel yourself starting to float gently skimming above the grass,

Just slowly floating.

You're still ebbing and flowing with the breeze,

Which is so much like the breath.

You suddenly realize you are completely and utterly weightless.

As you notice this,

You seem to pick up speed and altitude.

As you start floating up,

Up,

Up,

Up,

Up,

You become lighter and lighter and lighter.

And as you do so,

You watch the beautiful green earth moving away from you.

You go up into the brilliant blue sky.

It's as if you are flying,

Except it takes no effort,

A complete and absolute freedom.

You continue to ebb and flow and bob and weave,

Tilting this way and that way.

Again,

With the breeze,

You are skimming across the tops of trees,

Forests,

You can see lake,

Some mountains in the distance.

As you continue your ascent,

Things start to become a little bit foggy.

From this brilliant blue sky,

Suddenly everything becomes one white bright fog.

And now you know I've made it into the clouds.

As you take a breath and relax,

You feel yourself start to meld and merge with the clouds.

You feel yourself expand,

Becoming lighter and lighter,

Still floating high above the earth.

But before you know it,

Your tiny little cotton wood seed body has become a huge cloud.

One massive cloud covering the entire area for miles and miles and miles.

All of your awareness that was compacted into one little seed is now expanded all throughout so much space.

As you continue to feel the gentle ebb and flow,

You decide to take a rest here and enjoy the lightness,

The freedom and the fun of soaring high above the earth.

You are simply resting and enjoying this ease when suddenly you feel yourself descending.

You look and realize you've shrunken back into a seed.

You must have absorbed some of the moisture in that cloud because you're falling gently back down towards the earth.

In the breeze,

Once again,

You float this way and that way.

You catch a little ripple of wind and you rise up and then you float down.

You float forward and backwards,

Enjoying the delight of letting yourself be free.

You begin to recognize the tree tops,

The landscape,

Taking one more gaze at that beautiful,

Brilliant sky.

Sapphire blue,

Blazing sun and emerald green earth.

After your last look,

You slowly settle like a feather back into your bed and take a deep breath and exhale,

Enjoying once again the embrace of your body and your breath.

Thank you for joining me today.

Namaste.
