Hello,
And welcome to simply relax.
Before we begin,
Make sure you are good and comfortable.
Ideally lying down with headphones on or seated.
Just make sure you have a quiet comfortable space where your body feels totally safe and supported.
Wiggle your hips,
Your shoulders,
Your ankles,
Your head,
And allow every muscle to relax.
We'll begin by taking a nice deep breath all the way down into your belly,
Filling up your lungs from the bottom to the top.
And as you exhale,
Release through your mouth just start to feel that sense of relaxation fill you up.
Draw a couple more deep breaths in all the way,
Cleansing your body with pure fresh prana.
And then just exhaling through your mouth,
Surrendering into yourself and giving your body full permission right here,
Right now to simply relax.
For the rest of this meditation,
There is nothing else to do.
No need to control or manage your breath or your thoughts.
But simply stay in awareness of your body.
Allow your mind to gently float along.
No control,
No need to manage.
Really no need to think here.
As you begin to fully relax into yourself,
Allowing your breath to take on its own shape and form.
Start to notice the gentle rise and fall of your belly,
Your chest without any concern for how fast or slow or deep each breath is.
Just let yourself be fully present right here,
Right now.
Let your body feel heavy.
Feel the earth below supporting your body,
Cradling it,
Creating the support for you to relax fully.
Feel the weight of your head.
Allow your mind to relax and soften.
Relax your eyes,
Your cheeks,
Your tongue,
Your jaw,
And your whole head.
Relax your neck,
Your shoulders,
Your arms,
And your hands.
Let your arms be heavy as though the muscles are melting off the bones.
Relax the palms of your hands and every finger.
As we go through the body,
Please don't make any effort to try and force your body to relax.
Simply be the awareness of your muscles,
Your body relaxing all on its own.
No effort needed.
Feel your shoulder blades relax down into the earth,
Your ribs,
Your belly,
All the way down to your hips,
Letting everything,
Everything,
Everything be what it is in this now moment.
Once again,
Feeling the gentle rise and fall of your belly and chest.
Allow this whole area to soften,
Open,
And relax even more.
Feel the weight of your hips melting into the earth.
Let your hips be heavy as though the muscles are relaxing away from the bones.
Relax your upper legs,
Knees,
The back of your knees,
Lower legs,
Ankles,
Heels,
The soles of your feet,
And your toes.
Feel your whole body heavy.
Notice your breath again.
Let the muscles in your face be heavy,
Simply relaxed as though the muscles are releasing from the bone structure.
As we leave today's meditation,
Take your time moving and see if you can take this sense of deep relaxation,
The relaxed feeling in your muscles and your movements with you throughout your whole day.
