Close your eyes and allow your body to relax.
Knowing that you're safe and protected at all times,
I want you to begin by taking in three deep,
Relaxing breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And as you do,
Allowing any stress or tension to leave your body.
So as you continue to breathe in and out,
Feeling calm and relaxation,
Showering your head.
Allowing any tightness from your head and your neck to disappear.
And then releasing any tension from your shoulders and your arms as your hands and fingers relax in your lap.
As you continue to breathe in and out,
Allowing this sense of calm to travel down your spine.
Embracing your back,
Your stomach and your hips as they all relax.
And now allowing this release to now remove any tightness from your thighs and your calves as your feet and toes relax.
Feeling as light as a feather and allowing your body and mind to feel free.
Even seeing yourself in a beautiful garden.
This garden is filled with beautiful flowers and an emerald green field.
This is a place you can go to at any time for peace,
Relaxation or to connect with your inner self.
So spending a few moments connecting with this space and noticing if anything draws your attention.
As you continue to look around you notice to one side that there is a path leading to a gated garden.
You walk down the path and you open the gate and you walk into an even more beautiful garden.
But this garden has a bed in the middle and this bed is a soft grass,
A grass you can lie on.
You walk on over and you lie down.
As you do you feel the beautiful sun over your body.
The rays are warming every single cell and it feels glorious.
You soak up this warmth and this energy for a few moments.
You then place your awareness and attention on your heart.
So tune in to your heartbeat.
It's okay to use your imagination here if you're struggling to physically tune into the heartbeat.
And as you do this I want you to notice any feelings or images that may be residing in your heart.
I would now like you to breathe into your heart.
So imagine you're taking your breath right into your heart and then imagine you allowing that breath to come out of your heart.
Your heart is your lifeline in your body.
So allowing this breath to go in and out of your heart.
Noticing how this allows you to relax even further.
And as you do that I want you to start remembering all the things you're grateful for in your life.
Staying with your magnificent body.
Your body that allows you to experience life.
To hear your favourite music.
To see your favourite friends or the sunrise or sunsets or watching the clouds.
To smell your favourite drink,
Your cup of coffee or the soup you're drinking.
And then to taste the food you love.
And of course your ability to touch and feel the world around you.
Taking your marvellous body that allows you to move through this world and have different experiences.
Your brain,
Your heart,
Your lungs,
Your limbs.
Allowing that gratitude to flood into your heart and around your heart.
And then thinking about things you're grateful for in other parts of your life.
The people in your life.
The roof over your head.
The food in your belly.
And so much more.
So spending a few moments now or allowing yourself to really connect with the things you're grateful for.
And now that you've connected with so many wonderful things in your life,
Allow yourself to smile.
Allowing yourself to connect with how wonderful your life truly is.
And with that smile on your face you sit up from your garden bed,
Stand up and walk back down the path.
Through the gate,
Closing the gate behind you and returning to where you started,
In your glorious garden.
So again spending a bit of time just looking around and noticing if this garden has now started.
Or if there are things here that you didn't notice before.
And then when you're ready,
Slowly bringing your awareness back into the room you are in.
Wiggling your fingers and your toes.
And taking three deep,
Awakening and energising breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
