Here is a meditation I want to share with you to help you reconnect with the hope that you may have lost during these unprecedented times.
To closing your eyes,
Feel your body relax.
Know that you are safe and protected at all times.
So begin by taking in at least three deep breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And as you exhale,
Imagine any stress or tension leaving your body.
And allowing your breath to come to a normal pace for you.
Feeling calm and relaxation showering your head.
Allowing any tightness from your head and your neck to disappear.
And now releasing any tension from your shoulders and your arms as your hands and fingers relax.
As you continue to breathe in and out,
Allowing this sense of calm to travel down your spine,
Releasing your back,
Your stomach and your hips as they all relax.
Allowing this release to now remove any tightness from your thighs and your calves as your feet and toes relax.
So feeling yourself embraced in ultimate peace,
Feeling as light as a feather.
And then seeing yourself in a beautiful garden.
This is your personal garden,
A place you can go to at any time for peace,
Relaxation and to connect with your inner self.
It's a glorious day and the sun is shining overhead.
You feel the rays of the sun infiltrate every pore,
Every cell and every organ of your body and it feels wonderful.
There is a gentle breeze and you feel the breeze caressing your skin as if clearing away anything that no longer serves you.
Today we are going to reconnect with hope.
We may feel lost at the moment.
So before we begin,
Just taking note of what hope means for you.
Is there a metaphor or an image that comes to mind when you think or feel hope?
Just noticing,
Does hope have a colour or a shape?
When was the last time you felt hope?
Reconnecting with that feeling.
And then just begin searching your garden for where you may have lost your connection to hope.
Looking around,
Noticing if there's any assistance that comes your way in the form of an animal,
A higher being such as an angel or an ascended master,
Or a fairy or a gnome.
It could be someone from your past.
So just allowing whatever help you need to come through right now.
And then with your helpers,
Just searching your garden,
Noticing where you feel guided to go to reconnect with your hope.
You may be looking behind a wall,
Inside a box.
You may be in the dirt or underwater.
There is no right or wrong here.
So just searching through your garden.
And then when you do find your hope,
Picking it up and noticing what it looks like.
Noticing how it feels to hold this hope in your hands.
Place this item in your heart so that this hope is now a part of you and you are reconnected with your hope.
Allowing your heart to radiate this hope throughout your entire body and noticing how that feels.
And then thanking any of your helpers that came along today to help you in your search and enable you to reconnect with your hope.
And then allowing this hope to remain in your heart now that you're reconnected,
Slowly bringing your awareness back into the room you're sitting in and into your body.
Wiggling your fingers and your toes,
Taking in three deep,
Grounding and awakening breaths in through your nose and out through your mouth.
And opening your eyes when you feel ready.
