Here is a short meditation to help you drift off to dreamland.
So let's start by relaxing and getting your mind and body ready for sleep.
Closing your eyes,
Begin by taking in three deep,
Relaxing breaths.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
In through your nose and out through your mouth.
So with your eyes closed,
Let's relax your body.
Feeling your head and your jaw relax as you sink into your pillow.
Allowing your shoulders and elbows to relax.
As your hands and fingers become heavy in your bed.
Feeling your back and your stomach and your hips sink into your bed.
And allowing your knees and your feet and your toes to totally relax.
Now with your eyes closed,
I want you to imagine you are in a beautiful garden.
As you look up,
It is night time and although there is no full moon,
You can clearly see all around you.
You feel safe and secure in this place.
This is your special place you can go to whenever you wish.
You look up into the sky and you see thousands of stars.
They twinkle brightly.
You look at the constellations and all the shapes the stars make.
Some stars may even move,
Making different shapes.
You smile to yourself as you watch the stars in the sky.
You decide you want to start counting the stars.

Two,
Three.
You feel yourself drifting off to sleep.
Four,
Five,
Six.
You feel yourself drifting off even deeper.
Seven,
Eight,
Nine,
Ten.
You feel yourself drifting off even deeper.
