Find a cozy spot for a soothing moment of connection to you and your baby.

A simple pause to calibrate your heart with your baby's heart.

One thing I learned from my pregnancy with Hannah June was that visualizing our hearts side by side helped me trust the new rhythm of my body and life.

This journey of pregnancy is filled with hormones,

Uncertainties,

And wild shifts.

But your connection to this little one is precious,

And can be deepened in moments like this.

Can you get 10% more comfortable?

Your body might benefit from extra support,

Leaning back against something or extra cushions under your seat.

Be yourself,

To relax and receive.

With soft eyes,

Take in the room around you,

Textures,

Colors,

Light,

Either settling your gaze on one point or eyelids closing now.

Sense the sounds in the room,

The temperature of the air.

Sense the temperature of your body.

Try placing a palm over your heart,

And the other palm over your belly.

As you anchor into these spots,

You immediately soften.

Notice gentle breath moving into these places,

Heart and belly.

Notice the warmth from your hands onto these areas.

Visualize a warm glow of light around your heart,

And a warm glow of light around your belly,

Your baby's heart.

It's perfect that you are here now,

Connecting to your baby and to your own heart,

Now.

To align the energy between your consciousness,

Your heart,

And baby's heart,

Add in a few gentle hums.

This vibration soothes your nervous system and tells baby you're here.

Inhale deeply,

And hum.

Humming back to your heart and the heart of your baby.

Humming again.

And then through your nose.

Continue a few more hums to connect,

To ground,

To land into these hearts.

Rest,

Here,

Anchored to your own powerful heart,

Your wise mama heart.

You are your baby's first drum,

Initial hum,

This heart of yours.

Stay porous to your own wisdom here.

Nurture your heart with soft breaths.

Mama first.

And from here,

You naturally and instantly connect to the heart of this little loving being,

Growing within.

The effects are taking root.

The ability you have to return here again and again grows brighter with each pause to feel these two hearts.

Breathe in.

And breathe out an open mouth.

Slowly feeling this room you're in right now.

Go slowly into the rest of your day,

Assured that the connection to your heart and your baby's heart never wavers.

This rhythm is alive in every heartbeat and every breath.

Thank you for taking this time.

Love this! ๐Ÿ’˜ 34 weeks now. I love the imagery of his & Iโ€™s hearts beating side by side. I often tell people how chill he is inside me & how much he sleeps, but I think itโ€™s bc I breathe so deeply & rhythmically most of the day that it soothes him to sleep. I picture us doing this together outside the womb too. Big hugs ๐Ÿ™
