Welcome,
My name is Candy Foster.
I'm a mindfulness meditation instructor and I will be your host today for this meditation to connect with nature.
Our modern day lifestyles often don't allow us for as much time in nature as we truly need.
Getting out and one with nature keeps us grounded,
Recharged and present.
I love to do this meditation outside sitting with the ground or maybe even leaned up against my favorite tree.
I've done it on the rock,
On a rock by the stream or on the dock by the lake.
Of course you can also always do it inside your favorite chair.
Just use your imagination.
Wherever works best and inspires you the most is the perfect place to start.
So let's find a place where we can settle in.
A nice straight spine to allow for good flow of energy.
Let's take a deep breath in and release.
Take another deep breath in,
Filling the lungs and the stomach.
Then let it all go out through the mouth.
Let's take one more deep breath in and release fully in.
Start to fall into a softer,
Gentler,
More natural breath.
Continue to follow that breath in and out.
And through the nose,
The throat,
The lungs and the stomach.
And back out,
The stomach,
The lungs,
The throat and the nose.
Notice the effects of gravity on your body.
Feel your weight on the surface beneath you.
Really notice that connection.
If you're not in nature,
Imagine the surface beneath you being the grass,
Sand or a rock.
Whatever and wherever you would love to be in nature right now.
Allow roots to grow down into the earth like the tree beside you.
Growing deeper and deeper until they reach the center of the planet.
Feel the security that comes with this connection.
Allow it to soothe your nerves and calm your mind.
Feel the energy coming back to your body through this connection.
Recharging your body,
Your mind and your spirit.
As you continue to breathe,
Your mind to eye,
Notice all of nature around you.
What surrounds you in this place?
Is it water,
Trees,
Fields?
See it,
Visualize it.
What does the air feel like?
Is the temperature warm or cool?
Take it all in and allow it all to calm your senses.
Is there an aroma in the air?
What do you smell?
How does that scent make you feel?
If any tension rises up,
Just take a deeper breath and let it go on the exhalation.
Allow the release.
Let it all go.
Notice what is happening around you in this perfect place.
Just observe the leaves,
The water,
The birds,
Whatever is around you.
Passing you by,
Doing whatever they do.
Like you're not even there.
You can just sit and watch and enjoy.
Soak in all the miracles of nature.
Allow the wonder of it all to float around in your mind.
As you breathe in the fresh air,
Feel it refresh you from the inside out.
Let it fill you up.
Allow yourself to truly let go of the outside world.
Just a little while.
Just enjoy this place of peace and wonder.
Let your thoughts start to invade this precious space.
Acknowledge them and just let them pass by like the leaves or the stream.
Let them blend back to your place of peacefulness.
All you are grateful for in this moment.
Right here and now,
What feels good.
What is making you happy right now?
Bring those things to mind and start to roll with all the other things that come.
All the blessings in your life.
The biggest thing to the smallest little thing.
Immerse yourself in that feeling of gratitude.
Let it grow and multiply.
Let it take over your thoughts.
I wish your heart fills with joy and peace and gratitude.
Let it melt and embrace it.
Take one last look around you and notice anything you did not see before.
See even more beauty that surrounds you.
That beauty that surrounds you every single day.
Make a commitment to come back here every day and reconnect with nature and find your peace again.
You are worth it.
Believe that you are worth it.
Start to come back to the here and now.
Your physical space.
Your knowledge,
Your physical surroundings.
Start to wiggle your fingers and toes.
And let's take a deep breath in.
And release.
I am so blessed to have you join me today.
Thank you.
May your day be filled with joy and nature.
Love and self-care.
May you have a blessed day.
Namaste.
