Settle into your resting place.
Allow your body to melt into the space beneath you.
Stretch out as much as possible,
Finding comfort within your bones,
Ease between your muscles,
Relaxation on your mind.
Settle.
As your thoughts find stillness,
Breathe.
In and out.
Slowly.
Intentionally.
Let those breaths be heavy.
Long inhales followed by slow exhales.
Continue breathing,
Sinking further into relaxation.
Allow your body to be at ease,
Your mind to rest.
As you continue to rest,
Falling closer into a sleep state,
Listen to this prayer.
Now I lay me down to sleep.
I pray the Lord my soul to keep.
If I should die before I wake,
I pray the Lord my soul to take.
Amen.
Continue breathing.
Allow your body to sink further,
Each muscle growing heavier,
The lids of your eyes settling,
Your mind at ease.
Welcome and rest.
And comfort.
Welcome and sleep.
Good night.
