Transcript

Allow your body to relax.

Take in a few calming breaths to ground you in this moment.

Slow inhales and deep exhales.

Imagine a flower,

One whose bloom returns each year.

Imagine how each year,

No matter how harsh the winter,

When spring arrives,

The flower will bloom.

Take a moment to appreciate the flower you've imagined,

Its simple but complex beauty.

Each petal,

The stem,

Its roots and how it is grounded in the earth.

How does this flower make you feel?

Does the flower's scent bring you joy?

Examine each petal and how delicate it is.

Maybe the flower you've imagined is in full bloom or maybe it's missing a few petals.

Is it still equally beautiful?

Be reminded that just as God created the flower resilient,

Able to withstand the winter,

He created you in the same way.

Maybe this is your season to fully bloom or maybe you still need more pruning.

You are still equally beautiful.

As you come to the end of this meditation,

Take a deep breath in.

Reach your arms toward the sky.

As you release your arms,

Release your breath.

Thank you for taking a breath with me.
