Fresh Perspective

Have your prayers started asking for things to change-- around you? Is it time for you to shift your focus to your perspective? Maybe the thinsgs around you are the way they are for a reason, and if you change your perspective you'll see things differently. At the least, maybe they won't bother you. In this meditation, take a moment to consider the shift.

Dear God, Please change my situation. Please change this person. Please make my job easier. Please increase my reach. How often have you prayed a similar prayer? How often have you asked God to change something external to you? As you focus on your breath, Close your eyes, Consider your recent prayers and what it is you've asked God to do on your behalf. What things have you asked Him to change? Take a long breath in and exhale slowly. Now consider this scripture, Psalms 61 verses 1-2. I wait quietly before God, For my victory comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, My fortress where I will never be shaken. Again, I wait quietly before God, For my victory comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation, My fortress where I will never be shaken. Your victory comes from God and you will not be shaken. Now consider your prayers, Your situation, Your circumstances. If you can see the result and not the process, Not the how, But the who, Be encouraged that God is working it out. Let Him change your mindset and how you see your challenge, Your problem, That issue you have with someone else. Allow God's word to provide the contentment you need to rest, To be still and most importantly to trust God that all will be well. Take a moment and allow that to settle. Remember, God's already given you the victory. Have an amazing day.
