You're here.
That's what you brought with you today is you're here.
You're here-ness.
Here you are.
And there's something quite wonderful about being here.
At any point in your life,
This is where you've been.
Here.
Circumstances change.
Things come and go.
People come and go.
Activities come and go.
Weather changes.
But you're here.
It's the constant.
The one constant.
You exist.
You're alive.
And you're here.
And the great thing about being here is there's no right way to be here or wrong way to be here.
You're here.
Here you are.
You can't blow being here.
You can't be great at it.
You're here.
It's the simplest thing.
And you're already doing it.
And you can't not do it.
Again,
Things are going to come and go.
You're going to be doing different things.
You're going to believe different things.
Certain activities are going to become more important than they won't.
New people come in your life.
Your body changes.
Things you like and dislike that changes.
But you're here.
That remains.
And it's always with you.
And when you remember it,
When you remember,
Oh I'm here.
Here I am.
It's very soothing.
Your cells relax.
Your mind relaxes.
Your attention goes from your mind down to your heart.
And you feel timeless.
Because being here is timeless.
You notice time passing.
But whatever you notice,
You're not that thing that you're noticing.
Because essentially you're timeless.
You're here.
From here you notice time passing.
You notice the sunrise,
The sunset.
You notice yourself doing things during the day.
You notice yourself going to sleep at night.
You notice feeding yourself.
Taking a shower.
Using the bathroom.
Exercising.
Checking your email.
Watching a movie or a TV show.
Eating dinner.
You notice all the things that you do.
Because you're here.
From your place of here-ness,
You're basically awareness.
Pure awareness.
Of whatever's happening.
Whatever you're thinking.
Whether it's intense or subtle.
Overwhelming or peaceful.
You know it from your place of here-ness.
Here I am.
I'm here.
And there's an expanse of quality to being here.
You're not restricted to being the person and all the things that that person feels and experiences.
Which can be very overwhelming.
This space contracts.
But when you consider yourself being here,
Being present here.
In your here-ness.
Here I am.
And there's space.
In that timelessness.
That space expands out everywhere.
And you're here.
Everywhere.
It's limitless.
And you're here.
The nice thing is you don't have to achieve being here.
Or earn it.
There's no discipline involved.
It's right here.
Sometimes we just need a reminder.
A gentle note of remembering.
And that's how life works.
We forget something that we remember.
We forget.
And we remember.
And right now we're remembering that we're here.
And right now we're remembering that we're here.
And that's a soothing,
Peaceful feeling that goes along with that.
So it's nice to be here.
To be here with you.
We're both here.
It's nice.
