Winter breeds a different pace.
Time slows.
Nature pauses.
The cold,
Barren earth becomes still,
Almost as if to hold its breath,
Awaiting the moment when the warmth of a new season spurs it to action.
But for now,
The molecules of our very being are urged to slow down,
To pause,
To reflect.
These moments of pause are required for our growth.
Rest gives us the energy to continue on.
It allows us to operate from a place of abundance knowing that nature and life will soon burst from its seams.
Lean into the season.
Practice intentional kindness toward yourself.
Let go of any limiting belief or criticism you hurl at yourself for not doing.
Relish in the gift that is the stillness.
Feel what emotions arise.
Observe the thoughts that creep up.
Let those things sit in your heart and then release them.
No sense in keeping them longer than needed.
The cold bone of winter is frozen.
But know this period is temporary.
A warmer light awaits with the lengthening of each new day.
Close the eyes.
Let go of any limiting belief or criticism you hurl at yourself.
I will take my time.
