Welcome lovely,
Beautiful people.
Today's meditation will be an experience through nourishment.
And what it means to be nourished.
To nourish ourselves.
To nourish our souls,
To nourish our bodies and minds.
That will be our experience today.
A deep nourishment.
So let's find a comfortable seated position.
We can bring our sitting bones,
Our hips above the knees.
We can place something under our hips.
Or find another comfortable seated position,
Perhaps on a chair,
Laying down.
Whatever feels nice.
Allowing our body to rest and our mind to start to expand.
As the rhythmic waves of our breath start to allow the body to settle.
We notice the shoulders soften,
The collarbones broaden.
The spine is long but not engaged.
Perhaps a slight smile comes across the face.
A gentle smile.
A smile,
Not so much of happiness rather of a very subtle,
Very constant joy.
A deep okayness.
The rhythm of the breath calming the mind.
And as if we just jumped into a beautiful ocean.
The mind completely clears.
Of any resisting thoughts.
And as we sit here,
Allowing the breath to come and go as it pleases.
We'll start with nine empowering questions.
And just noticing the effects on your body as I ask this question nine times.
And just allowing it to seep in more and more through each crack and crevice of this earthly body.
Into the landscapes of our mind.
How would it feel to be completely nourished?
How would it feel to be completely nourished?
How would it feel to be completely nourished?
How would it feel to be completely nourished?
How would that feel for our body to be completely nourished?
For our mind to be completely nourished?
For our soul to be completely nourished?
How would it feel to holistically,
Fully everything to be completely nourished?
Noticing the effects on our body,
Our mind,
As we create a very fertile ground for love and warmth to grow out of us.
I want you now to imagine that our bodies,
The landscape of our bodies are a great planet,
A being like the planet below us,
This earth.
Imagine that our bodies are like planet earth.
And through the landscape,
The mountains and forests and trees,
As we create this fertile soil,
The skin and below.
That nourishment comes out of this body,
Everything we nourish our body with.
We'll start to grow as we see small trees starting to grow through our legs,
Vines of fruit,
Palm trees,
Vegetables.
As if our body became a plentiful garden of nourishment to feed others.
And as we nourish our bodies with clean water,
Fresh foods,
Our body lets us know by its yield,
By its crop,
What will nourish it.
For the deep wisdom and intelligence of our body,
This landscape,
This planet,
This being,
If we listen closely,
We'll help guide it in our decisions for its nourishment.
And noticing a rainforest in our mind,
As if the inside of our head contained a lush rainforest,
Home to animals and plants and a vast amount of species.
And with the fertile soil of nourishment and love and warmth around us and our relationships and our surroundings and environment,
We notice the innate ability of this rainforest to become a home for many species,
For many other relationships,
To grow high and tall with love,
To grow broad and expansive.
That as we nourish our minds with loving people and words and thoughts,
That our rainforest becomes a very lovely home to live in.
How would it feel to be completely nourished?
To have every cell in my body fully nourished?
Loved,
Warm,
Safe,
Fully nourished.
And taking this feeling,
This experience,
And throughout the day,
Noticing our own ability to nourish ourselves,
And how naturally by feeding ourselves,
Feeding our minds,
That we become a place of nourishment for those around us.
As we water the roots to our tree,
A large trunk grows,
And inevitably the branches will reach out in canopy,
Providing shade to those around it.
Let's bring our hands to heart center and gently bow.
It's time for us to water our roots so that we may provide shade for those around us.
The enlightened in me sees and honors the enlightened and the nourished in you.
Namaste.
