You want to make sure you're in a comfortable seated position,
Maybe even lying down.
And make sure that all of your body is at ease.
You're not straining to sit up straight.
And your arms just gently relax against your lap or on the floor or on whatever you're lying on.
So now we'll go on a journey together.
The key is we're going together.
So in this journey you're not alone.
And so we start in a warming hut.
You have something warm to drink,
Maybe a tea or coffee or hot cocoa or even some sort of warm broth.
And you cup your hands around this container and that gives you warmth in your hands.
And then it gradually moves up towards your arms and into your chest so you feel some of this warmth of this container into your chest.
And you look up and there's a fireplace and the fireplace is giving off warmth to your face and your toes.
So you soak in this warmth from this warming hut and know that it's with you as we wander outdoors.
So you can decide if you want to take your drink with you or you can set it down.
You put on a coat or a blanket and we walk out the door of the hut and immediately you feel that last of cold air but you're not cold.
You still have the warmth that you cultivated inside the hut.
And you take a deep breath and you feel that dry cool air go into your nose and it's cleansing.
It goes into your chest cleansing.
And then we take a few steps and you feel the snow below you crunching with your stride.
And you look around you and you see this vast blanket of white.
And then as we approach a sort of precipice we stop and we see around us a valley below and scaling mountains to our left and to our right.
Each of them are snow capped.
And then we decide this is a good place for us to take a small seat.
Remember that there are others with you.
So you feel their energy cleansing energy but each of you will have a unique experience.
Each of you will have a message that the mountains want to convey to you.
So let's sit down in the snow and recognize that even though we can feel the cold temperature on the outside we're still warm on the inside.
And you've never experienced this sense of quiet.
You might hear some wind occasionally blowing through the trees.
You might feel a breeze on your face.
That crisp mountain air has a very natural scent to it.
You can just imagine what great forces created these mountains.
What power lies at the root of them.
That power of creation also exists in you.
So as you connect with the mountains you acknowledge that great power.
And then you ask the mountains for their wisdom.
Ask the mountains the nature around you.
What do you have to say to me?
What is the message that I need to hear?
What is the message that I need to hear?
Sometimes the message might be in words.
Sometimes they might be in images.
Sometimes they might even appear as feelings.
What is your message that the mountains want to speak to you?
What is your message that the mountains want to speak to you?
Then you'll take a deep breath and allow this message to sink in.
Rather than try to figure it out now,
Just allow it to just rest there.
And then we bow to the mountains in gratitude for this message.
And then all of us,
We stand up from our seated posture and make our way back into the warming hut.
And again you hear that crunching of the snow underneath your feet.
And I open the door for you.
As soon as you walk in you feel the heat on your face from the fire.
And then you take your seat back where you were before.
Then you place your palms together,
Recognizing that all of us are connected through this great power,
That we are never truly alone.
Let's all bow in gratitude to one another.
Thank you for sharing this practice with me.
Namaste.
