So whenever you're ready,
Let's take a deep breath in Close our eyes And return to the present moment Notice that right here right now everything is okay There are thoughts,
There are feelings,
Maybe sounds There is a deep sense of presence And when we focus on this presence,
This awareness which knows these thoughts,
Feelings and sounds The awareness itself is always here,
Ever present Changeless,
It is not affected by those thoughts,
Feelings,
Sense perceptions It simply allows everything to flow through it And it is key to understand this,
That there is a part of our experience,
Our true self Which is always complete,
Always whole Never affected by an experience Changeless and ever present And part of our human journey is to return to this presence To know that it is always here To know that it is who we are And of course a part of us is conditioned to believe that we are the body-mind And so the spiritual path is a journey of realignment Of this true pure presence awareness With the beliefs that we are the body-mind And in order for this realignment to take place The body-mind has to heal its perception To see that our beliefs so far are not true in experience That we have been seeing ourself as limited and temporary whereas in fact we are eternal and Changeless So Addictions and negative patterns and resistance to what is comes to bring up these false beliefs To challenge them to Question the self that we believe ourself to be and return once again to this presence Awareness And the body-mind is an intelligent mechanism it knows exactly how much it's ready to take on at any moment In this way it is progressing towards its own Healing and every step is a step closer to presence to truth To a deeper realignment with what actually is So This was the understanding addiction part and now the letting go of addiction It is not necessarily a letting go of the pattern the pattern will eventually stop by itself So it's not about trying to stop it not about trying to resist it Of course,
We should do our best to not engage with it As much as possible to stay present to stay in love to be mindful But when we do engage in it,
We have to be compassionate we have to be Loving to know that for some reason this was meant to happen Because the guilt and the shame are also part of the pattern and if we can we should Embrace them and allow them and in this way they dissolve When we love ourself fully when we allow all patterns to be as they are Then there is less shame less guilt We can also talk about it better we can ask for help So the letting go is more on the level of Being our true self knowing that we are changeless whole and complete at all times Knowing that we are not affected by these patterns Knowing that the body mind is healing in this way that our perception is becoming more true So it's more letting go of the identification with the pattern and letting go of the identification with the body mind And allowing this healing process this healing journey to take however long it takes And when we can to return to presence to awareness to the breathing To what is actually here now to the present moment And you can now take a few deeper breaths in And open your eyes And let go And open your eyes and return to our conversation
