Flipping perspective.
Many of us have a good practice of starting the day intentional,
Winding down intentional,
Maybe with a gratitude practice,
Maybe with becoming completely empty,
Maybe with imaging the vision that we wish to create.
All of those are wonderful practices and there are many more.
And they are important.
And sometimes things seem to go sideways.
With all the gratitude we have and all the good intentions we put in there,
It seems to be a curve ball.
We're not sure how to catch it,
We're not sure how to work with that.
And those may be opportunities for flipping it,
For going upside down and changing our perspective on it.
Can we change the way out,
We look at life?
If a plan I made didn't come through,
If something that I strongly felt was supposed to happen isn't happening,
Then I can ask myself,
What is this making space for?
How do I know?
Maybe what's coming through instead is going to be the bigger blessing in the long run.
Maybe I'm still too close to it to be able to see the silver lining or the lesson it provides for me.
Maybe this is going to turn into a much more beautiful path than the one I could have imagined.
Maybe all it takes is for me to lean back and to observe.
Maybe I don't need to make everything happen.
Maybe things will unfold for me.
When I get caught up in the making things happen mode,
I will notice after a while that I have become tense and rigid.
That's how I can tell that I'm not in alignment with the energy that the universe provides.
When I am in flow,
When I am in alignment with that,
I am the vessel.
Yes it may still take dedication and good practices to keep our energy levels and our frequency up where we like it to be so we can be the most effective vessel for the creation of the universe to come through us.
That's what we came here for.
Our main job is to make sure that we put ourselves into a good place to treat ourselves well.
Treating ourselves well is so much about how we speak to us in our head.
I had a conversation with a very dear friend of mine yesterday.
She reminded me that our biggest critique usually sits in our own head.
I was so grateful for her mirroring that back to me.
It is so easy to get caught in a stale perception of the world.
On the way home is to lean back,
Breathe deep and be with what is.
Noticing the physical sensations that run through our body.
Take another slow deep breath here.
Let it go with a sigh.
Can you allow yourself to be 10% more at ease?
Can you allow yourself to be 10% more at ease?
And then with every breath on the inhale,
Can you feel into the energy traveling up your spine?
And with every exhale,
Can you allow the energy to continue traveling upward out of the crown of your head?
And connecting you to the whole universe from there.
With the inhale,
The energy comes in to where you're connected to the earth.
And with the exhale,
The energy connects you to the universe everywhere around you.
From your crown point from the top of your head.
Turning into the subtlety of that energy flow.
That is your true life magic.
With your inhale,
Slowly let the energy flow into you from the earth.
And with the exhale,
Let it connect you to the rest of the universe from the top of your head.
Feel the magic of life running through you this way.
This way.
This way.
If the use of the term magic seems confusing to you in this instance,
Remember that you're sitting on a giant piece of rock hurtling through space,
Kept within its orbit by an even more giant ball of fire.
That's a lot of magic to marvel at.
And after taking that very meta perspective,
Is there a way to find a new perspective on the waves that are currently running through your life?
Is there a way to ride them with a tiny bit more grace and kindness towards yourself?
With compassion for the intensity of this human experience.
Because your love is the love you've been seeking.
Your approval and your love.
Is what you sometimes work so hard for.
And you already are worthy.
You don't need to earn it.
The time is now.
The time has come to fully love yourself.
To let that compassion and grace and kindness be your guiding light.
To allow yourself to live from your heart.
That is the biggest flip of perspective.
And maybe you've done it a thousand times and we do it again.
Using that perspective,
Recommitting to living from the heart.
What would the me that loves herself fully say to herself in this situation?
Maybe you should say,
I love you girl.
You got this.
Take a deep breath.
One step at a time.
And look at mama nature.
She doesn't rush and she gets everything done in time.
Feel into the life force that is running through your body,
Sweet soul.
The more we can tune into that sensation of being fully alive,
The more present we are in any given moment and the more we can live from the heart.
Tune back into that flow of life force energy.
With every inhale from the earth into you.
Traveling up your spine.
With every exhale spreading from the top of your head to everywhere.
Using you to the earth and the cosmos and connecting us with each other.
Feel deeper into that connection.
Notice its subtle qualities.
What does it feel like in your body to be connected to your heart?
To sense life force energy running through you.
Notice the subtle textures of sensations.
Notice the frequency.
Once we have learned that frequency of being,
It's almost like learning a song.
It's easier to get back into the tune.
To memorize it well.
Remember?

You If you like,
Bring the palms of your hand together or lay your hands on your heart.
And bow to acknowledge yourself for showing up for your practice.
And to express the gratitude that you have for this practice.
Be well.
I love you.
