Welcome to this evening wind down meditation to help you relax after a busy day.
Let's begin.
Notice your breathing.
Is it shallow,
Deep,
Fast or slow?
Where do you notice it the most?
Take a few moments to witness the breath.
Let's gently begin to slow down and deepen the breath to help us relax.
Gently breathing in through the nose,
Slow and deep,
And holding for a moment before exhaling gently through the mouth.
Sigh away any tension from the day.
Again breathing in through the nose deeply and gently.
Pausing and exhaling loudly to release any excess energy.
Again breathing in through the nose deeply and gently.
Pausing and exhaling loudly to release any excess energy.
One more time in through the nose directing the breath deep down into the belly if this is comfortable and exhaling through the mouth.
Repeat the following affirmations either aloud or in your mind to let go of any stress or negative energy you have picked up from the day.
This is my time to rest and unwind.
I am ready to let go of tension.
I deserve to switch off and relax.
I release any worries from the day.
I give myself permission to let go.
I choose to focus on the present moment.
I can handle whatever life throws at me.
I deserve to take some time for myself.
I inhale calm and exhale tension.
I focus on the good that happened today.
I release the need to judge myself.
I am grounded and calm.
I choose to accept myself no matter what.
I am at peace with myself and others.
I let go of the need to take things personally.
This is my time to take care of my needs.
I am grounded.
I am calm.
I am at peace.
I am ready to unwind.
Take a deep breath in and exhale any last remaining feelings of tension or doubt.
Let it go.
It's time to forget about the day and focus on having a relaxing and calm evening.
You are relaxed,
You are calm and you are peaceful.
This is your time to take care of yourself.
