Hello and welcome to this relaxing sleep meditation to help you drift off into a peaceful and deep sleep.
Take some time to get as comfortable as possible.
You may wish to lay on your back,
On your side or in any other way that allows you to fully relax.
Make sure you are warm,
Comfortable and supported.
Continue to make any adjustments to allow your body to feel completely rested.
Let's begin to release any tension from the day.
We'll take two small inhales followed by a long and deep exhale.
Breathing in and letting go.
Again inhaling twice and swaying away any tension.
One more time breathing in and letting go.
Allow your breath to return to a natural rhythm directing it deep into the belly if this feels comfortable.
Spend a few moments connecting with your breath.
Let's begin to relax the body.
Turn your attention to any areas of discomfort or tension.
What areas are in need of relaxation?
Taking extra effort to release any tension from the jaw,
The forehead and the shoulders.
Imagine any remaining tension draining away into the surface beneath you.
As I say the following affirmations allow their calming and soothing energy to wash over you.
All you need to do is relax and receive.
Don't worry about focusing on them too much,
Just allow your mind to drift to wherever it wants to go.
I relax and let go of any tension from the day.
Good sleep is something I cherish and cultivate.
My bedroom is the perfect environment to sleep well.
I focus on feelings of calm and relaxation.
