When you consistently take time to drop in like this,

Your energy shifts,

Your brain organizes itself differently,

And over time your whole life starts to move from a steadier place.

Come seated or stay propped up in the bed,

Whatever feels most supportive right now.

Let's begin.

As we begin to check in here,

Your only job is to notice.

No fixing,

No adjusting,

Simply just noticing the different expressions of your system this morning.

Begin by noticing the physical body.

Maybe the body feels a bit tense or numb,

Maybe soft or neutral.

Just notice.

Whatever is present is simply information,

Nothing to fix or improve.

And then begin to check in with the body and ask,

What would support my body as I begin the day?

Take notice of the information the body gives you.

And then take an inhale here.

Now bringing your awareness into the emotional body.

Notice if there's any movement or sensation in the emotional field.

Any contraction,

Expansion,

Holding,

Or stillness.

Notice where it shows up in the body.

Stay with it for a moment without naming or interpreting,

Just sensing.

Take a slow,

Steady breath.

Let the exhale soften through your whole system.

Now bring your awareness to the mind.

Notice what it's doing this morning.

Maybe planning,

Worrying,

Thinking ahead,

Replaying something.

Maybe even numb or quiet.

Just observe the direction that the mind is moving in.

Notice how the mind is usually pulled into the future or the past.

Now we're going to take some time to come back into the present moment.

Grounding ourselves into this very moment without getting pulled far away or far ahead.

Take a deep breath in and sigh it out.

Two more like this.

Inhale and sigh it out.

Sigh it out.

Now moving into a patterned breath.

Let's breathe in for eight counts.

Fill the belly.

Hold at the top for eight.

And then exhale for eight.

Now hold the breath out for eight counts.

Breathe in for eight,

Filling the belly.

Hold for eight.

Exhale for eight.

And then hold the breath out,

External breath retention for eight.

Breathe in for eight.

Exhale for eight.

Exhale.

Hold it out.

Breathe in for eight counts,

Filling the belly.

Allow the breath to expand you.

And then as you hold,

Releasing any grasping.

Just hold but settle into the hold.

When you exhale for eight,

Allow all the breath to release from the belly.

Imagine the belly button touching the spine.

And then as you hold the breath out,

Allow yourself to pause.

One more round.

In for eight.

Exhale.

Hold the breath out.

And then return to your natural breath just for a few moments here.

We're going to stay in this momentum of breath.

Again,

With the intention of bringing our awareness,

Emotional body,

Subconscious into the moment present.

Now,

For 10 rounds,

We're going to inhale into the belly.

Feel the diaphragm ribs extend.

Imagine yourself moving from wall to wall,

Side to side,

Into the throat center.

And then we exhale all the way down.

The breath moves down the spine,

Imagining moving into the earth.

So breathe in all the way up.

Allow the breath to move all the way down the spine,

Into the earth,

Grounding you down.

All the way up.

And down.

As you fill up,

Nourish the heart.

And then as you exhale,

You ground into the earth,

Smooth and steady.

As you finish off your last round,

I want you to breathe in here.

Fill the belly and just hold the breath at the top.

Focus your awareness between the brows.

Imagine the energy moving up the spine,

Into the crown of your head.

And then exhale,

Let it go.

Release the hold.

Take a moment to notice.

And then again,

Maybe take a nice,

Deep,

Cleansing breath in.

Exhale.

Two more.

Last one.

Cleansing breath out.

Ah.

Now that we've used the breath here to balance all the layers,

Mind,

Body,

Emotional field,

What often comes forward is our intuition,

The quiet wisdom beneath everything else.

Take a moment to see and notice what arises now.

Any messages or wisdom that wants to come through.

It doesn't need to make sense to your mind.

Just allow whatever that needs to come through to be heard.

Take one more steady breath.

Exhale.

And let this inner guidance move you through the day.

Rely on this intuition,

This clarity to guide you through the day instead of the other layers.

Maybe try that on for today.

Allowing your inner wisdom,

Intuition to guide you.

And when you're ready,

Open the eyes.

Ground into the space that you're in.

And have a beautiful start to your day.

Beautifully guided. 🙏🏼It was interesting for me to observe the rise in a physical panic/anxiety feeling on the breath retention of the exhale. That was the most challenging part to try and calm the mind and relax the body through the final few counts before inhaling. Thank you for the lovely practice 💗
