In a world of noise,

Commit to being here for yourself.

Inhale.

Exhale.

In a world rushing faster and faster,

Pause.

Wait.

Breathe.

Inhaling.

Exhaling.

Welcome to a hit of hope.

I was at the doctor's office recently and in a room nearby was a newborn.

A very unhappy newborn squalling its tiny little head off.

It was a sound of pure fragility and frustration.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Maybe your spirit feels like that wee one sometimes.

Tender.

Overwhelmed.

Helpless.

When that happens,

It might be tempting to flail or flee or fight.

Or when we feel tender and overwhelmed,

We can try to hold on tight so we don't shatter.

Sometimes that's what we have to do to survive.

Inhale.

Exhale.

But when life relents,

Let go.

That's probably something you've heard a million times.

Let it go.

Why is this so important?

Think about the monkey who has put his hand in the jar to grab something shiny.

Inhale.

Exhale.

You can't be free until you let go.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Anchor your body.

Clear the space with your deep and even breath.

Inhale.

Exhale.

You can't be free until you let go.

Yield.

Surrender.

You are safe.

Follow your breath as it fills the space.

Ride any waves of emotion.

Soften.

And soften some more.

You can't be free until you let go.

Inhale.

Exhale.

When you feel tender,

Hold yourself as if you were cupping a handful of flowers.

When you feel tender,

Sit as if you have been invited to listen to the stars.

Inhale.

Exhale.

Let go.

Let go.

Breathe.

And live light.

I came looking for something to help with hiccups and couldn't find anything but this was showing as a suggestion. Hiccups were gone within seconds! There really are no coincidences, excellent medication.

Thank you Betsy. Feeling tender and overwhelmed so perfect timing again.....liked the hand cupping flowers analogy.....hopefully once it stops raining I ll be able to get out in the garden again, enjoy what Spring has to bring and stop the frustration of living in another lockdown. 💐......loved the review by the man earlier of this .....here s to letting go💨🎈

It's alway the hardest part, isn't it? Just releasing that tension, that attachment? Trusting life to catch you when you fall... While I was deep in this meditation, both my 50 lb dog and my 8 lb cat found their way to my lap. 3 minutes in, the deep relaxed breath and the gentle purr served to help unclench my grip, and I... ...let go. Calm and peace attract them, and then they amplify that energy. Namaste.
