Hey there,

Have you noticed that it's hard to get lost these days?

Little digital gods with soothing accents tell us exactly where to go,

How much longer we have,

And there's more and more concrete and less and less wildness.

At the same time,

I think it's easier than ever to feel lost.

Which way should I go?

What should I do?

How and where should I live?

If we listen to the world,

We might do whatever it takes to live in the perfect house and get the perfect high-paying job and find the perfect mate and drink the perfect elixir of snail poop and honey just so our skin can glow.

If we live that way,

It might feel like we are assured of a map and juicy bits.

But I don't think I'm alone in feeling like that way is an exhausting grind.

It can crush our spirits because our hopes and our dreams are pinned to what the out there is telling us.

And the out there is always changing its mind about what is in,

About what you should do,

So you can never ever catch up just as you can never ever measure up.

I've gotten far more interested lately in growing still,

In sitting with the unknown,

The fears,

The frustrations,

The habits,

The deepest longings.

In a world that is shouting at us to do this and by that,

Maybe the way to feel like we are living here is to be with our fears,

With our longing.

Maybe we can quiet and lean in so we can hear every word that is being that is being whispered in our center.

And when we do that,

When we pay attention,

When we say hello,

Where did you come from and what do you need?

From there we might even grow more still and then begin to see the desire line.

Do you know what desire lines are?

In a world that tells us again and again where to go,

Take this road,

That sidewalk,

Go this way,

The obvious way,

Obey and behave as you follow everyone else,

A desire line is different.

It's an unplanned small path and often it's this short distance between there and here.

And while it might make the most sense,

A desire line can feel wild,

Untame,

Scary,

Because not everyone takes it.

Taking a desire line can be an act of defiance.

I will not be told which way to go.

I'm going to follow this undeniable pull.

I am going to go on this way that feels secret,

Hidden,

Beautiful,

Wild.

When you feel lost,

Grow still and listen with every fiber of your being for your desire line.

Listen for the message from your deepest self,

The gentle nudge,

The pull to go this way.

Trust your center,

Trust your desire line.

Then go discover adventure so you can live light and shine.

Good morning special girl.. Thx for the reminder, it's my life, my path, and @ 67, I don't need or want to be told how I should feel 🙂
