Sit in a comfortable position.

Try to sit in a position where your knees are lower than your hips and that way you can keep your spine nice and long,

Elevated,

But be relaxed.

Place your hands on your lap,

Facing up or down,

Up to you.

If your hands are facing down it usually means you're conserving energy.

If your hands are facing up then you're open to receive.

Take some long deep breaths in and out through the nose.

Inhaling for five,

Four,

Three,

Two,

One.

Exhale for five,

Four,

Three,

Exhale for five,

And then return your breathing to a natural breath.

A nice easy slow,

Incoming and outgoing breath.

Move your attention towards your root,

Your pelvis,

Your sit bones and the area around the perineum.

Focus on that area and bring to mind the colour red.

Focus on a bright red colour around the area of your perineum.

This is your Muladhara chakra.

Muladhara chakra relates to survival,

Strength,

Grounding and a sense of self.

So keep in mind this red colour.

And then imagine the red as a disc,

A spiral.

And this is turning,

Beginning to turn in a clockwise direction.

So focus on this red spiral,

Turning clockwise in towards your perineum.

Keep the colour red as your focus.

So this spiral might turn first slowly and then gradually let it pick up a little bit of speed.

See if you can actually feel this turning sensation,

This spiralling sensation of red,

Bright red.

Move up towards the area just below the navel,

Above the pelvis.

And this area,

The colour is orange,

A really bright vibrant orange.

Focus on that orange colour,

Focusing on a disc again,

A spiral.

And this orange colour is rotating in a clockwise direction in towards you.

This is your Swadhisthana chakra.

Your Swadhisthana chakra encourages mental creativity and controls desire and lust and also sexual energy.

So keep focusing on the colour orange and feeling it spiral slowly at first and then gathering speed.

Move your attention now towards your solar plexus.

Above the belly,

Below the rib cage.

And like the sun,

Visualise a bright yellow colour around your solar plexus.

This golden yellow begins to spiral in a clockwise direction.

And this is your Manipura chakra,

The place of personal power,

Of joy,

Laughter,

That when out of balance can lead to worry and fear.

So for now just focus on your bright yellow,

Just below the rib cage,

Focusing on this disc,

Spiralling in towards you.

Feel that wheel moving faster.

And then move your attention towards the centre of your heart and at that place in the centre of your chest,

Around your heart.

The colour is green,

Bright vibrant green,

Almost a pulsating green.

And for your Anahata chakra,

Your Anahata chakra is about patience,

Devotion and of course love,

Wisdom and stability.

So focus again on this area around your heart,

An almost pulsating,

Vibrating,

Spiralling green colour moving towards your heart.

Move your attention now towards your throat,

Centre of your throat.

And here the colour is turquoise,

Bright blue.

So focus on this wheel,

This energetic wheel around the base of your throat,

Your Visuddhi chakra.

Your Visuddhi chakra governs communication,

The ability to concentrate,

Sense of security,

Calm,

Your intellectual voice.

So focus on that blue spiral,

Spinning slowly first and then moving a little faster in towards the base of the throat.

Move your attention again towards your third eye,

Between your eyebrows.

And focus on the colour indigo,

Somewhere between a deep blue and a purple colour.

Focus on that place in between your eyebrows,

Beginning to notice again this indigo colour starting to spin towards your head,

Your Ajna chakra.

Your Ajna chakra governs clarity,

Intuition,

Visualisation,

Concentration.

Feel the spiral moving in a clockwise direction,

Gradually increasing in speed.

Move your attention towards the crown of your head,

The opening at the crown of the head,

Your thousand petalled lotus.

And the colour is a beautiful violet lotus colour right at the crown of your head.

Your Sahasra chakra brings about non-identification with thought,

Empathy,

Unification with Divine consciousness and bliss.

So keep that thousand petalled lotus spiralling in towards your head in a clockwise direction.

At first you might just see the colour and then you'll begin to feel the colour moving.

You'll feel the colour moving faster and there is almost a light emanating from the crown of your head into Divine consciousness.

That's that bliss.

Now we'll move back down again to your root,

To your Muladhara chakra.

We'll begin to feel each chakra moving and rotating simultaneously.

So feel the root,

The red colour spiralling and feel that connection moving up towards your Swadhisthana chakra just below the navel.

Notice the connection between red and orange moving at the same time.

Move up towards your Manipura chakra,

Your solar plexus and you'll see the connection between orange and yellow,

Feeling them both spiralling at the same time.

We move back up towards the heart,

Anahata chakra,

The green colour.

Feeling again the green and the yellow.

Move towards your throat and the turquoise colour,

Visuddhi.

Notice the connection between heart and throat.

From here,

Move up again towards the third eye,

Your Ajna chakra,

Indigo colour and see the connection between turquoise and indigo,

Both spiralling at the same time.

And then up towards your Sahasra chakra,

Violet colour,

Witnessing the indigo and the violet simultaneously rotating and spiralling.

And then witness a whole rainbow of colours vibrating and spiralling and pulsating throughout your whole body,

From your root to your navel,

Your solar plexus,

Your heart,

Your throat,

Your third eye and the crown of your head.

Moving this rainbow from red to orange,

Yellow,

Green,

Turquoise,

Indigo,

Witness all of them rotating,

Pulsating,

Vibrating,

All at the same time.

Feel the energetic connection between all of those colours,

All of those places in the body,

All of those emotional,

Physical,

Mental connections.

The whole body is emanating a rainbow.

Sit with that.

Feel that.

Witness that.

Basics.

Gradually slow,

Slow down the faster rotations and spiralling.

Feel each chakra slowing down so it's no longer a gross sensation.

It's now a subtle,

A subtle recognition of colour so that we can sit with our Mooladhara chakra,

Swatisthana,

Manipura,

Anahata,

Visuddhi,

Ajna,

Sahasra.

Gently we feel a residue of rainbow colours,

Gently,

Gently vibrating through our bodies.

And we can keep that gentle vibrating,

That residue of a rainbow,

We can keep that with us throughout the day.

Gently slowly open your eyes,

Still feeling the remnants of a rainbow.

Take a deep breath in through the nose and a cleansing exhale.
