When you connect to the wisdom of your inner child, you can heal past pains and traumas and create a more fulfilling life. This meditation guides you to gently reconnect with your inner child, and offer them the healing you may not have recieved. You can change your life with this simple, but profound, practice.

Welcome,

This is a guided transmission for inner child healing.

Make yourself comfortable whether you are sitting in a chair,

Whether you are laying down in bed,

Sitting on a cushion or on your yoga mat.

Wherever you are just make sure that you can feel a sense of ease and that you can let your body begin to relax into whatever you are sitting or laying down.

Breathing in through your nose,

Breathing out through your nose or your mouth.

Continuing with that breath,

Breathing in through the nose,

Breathing out through your nose or your mouth.

Making your breath bigger with that inhale,

Perhaps expanding your belly as you breathe that fresh air in and exhaling any residual stress or tension,

Perhaps sighing it out.

Take two more breaths like that,

We inhale expanding the body,

Breathing more oxygen in,

We exhale releasing any tension,

Any stress,

Release sound if you want to.

And once again breathing in,

Filling up your body with that breath,

Letting it go.

Just letting yourself breathe a natural flow in through the nose,

Out through the nose or the mouth.

I invite you to pay attention to the base of your body as you continue to breathe freely,

Breathing in,

Breathing out,

Bringing attention to the base of the spine,

The base of your body,

Sitting on the earth,

On your cushion,

On your bed,

Wherever you are.

Letting your body feel connected to the earth and dropping deeper into the ground to whatever you're seated or laying on.

With every exhale knowing that it is safe to relax,

You are safe to relax.

Letting the ground holding and supporting you,

It is safe to relax.

Letting your legs relax as you breathe,

Maybe allowing your shoulders to relax,

Belly relaxes,

Your chest and heart gently softening as you begin to relax your whole body,

Your arms,

Your hands relaxing.

Feeling that sensation of being supported,

Being held by the earth,

Letting all the facial muscles relax,

Allowing the top of your head to relax,

Relaxing your neck all the way down your spine back to your root,

Back to the base of your body,

Fully and completely relaxed,

Breathing gently and naturally.

As we're here breathing you might notice those thoughts that drift into your mind,

That's perfectly normal,

Just allow them,

Notice them,

You can observe your thoughts just as you would observe a cloud passing over the sky.

You are not a cloud,

You're just watching the cloud and it's exactly the same with our thoughts.

So whenever they drift to our awareness we can just know we are not our thoughts,

We have thoughts,

We can observe them,

See them come in and watch them drift out of our awareness just like that cloud passing over the sky,

Breathing gently.

If you like you can take your hands and place them across your heart,

Maybe across your belly,

Maybe one hand across your heart and one hand across your belly,

If that feels comfortable for you.

Just feeling that physical connection to your breath through your hands,

Noticing your body rising and falling,

Every inhale rising,

Every exhale relaxing away from your hands.

Still observing if any thoughts drift in,

Just watching them knowing you are here with your breath,

You are safe.

Now I invite you to take a journey back into your own mind,

Into your mind's eye and keep your hands connected to your body if you like,

Keeping that physical connection to the present moment,

To your breath.

And I invite you through your mind's eye with your inner sight to take a moment and envision yourself as a child,

Just the first version that comes to your mind,

It might be a very little child,

Maybe you are a little bit older,

Maybe it's you when you were a teenager,

Just the first one that comes to mind,

We will stay with that one for this practice.

Still breathing,

Still feeling your breath,

Feeling your body with your hands across belly or the heart,

Know that you are still here in this present moment,

The age you are right now but you are just seeing yourself as a child.

I invite you to look into that inner child,

That self,

That version of you,

Look into their eyes,

Know that you can always come back to the present,

Out of this visualisation,

If it ever gets to be uncomfortable or too much,

Just come back to your breath,

To the here and now,

If you are still there with your inner child,

Just breathing,

Noticing them and they may notice you and if they do,

Just see what they have to say to you as you are now,

This age,

This version of yourself,

What does your inner child have to say to you,

Remember there is no wrong answer,

Just looking at them,

Being with them,

Feeling their energy,

If you like you can ask this version of yourself at this age whatever came first to your mind and ask your inner child here if they need anything,

Just breath here and just listen to what they have to say,

Do you need anything?

Listen to their answer to you,

Perhaps in your mind they might need comfort from you,

They might need something else,

If it feels right to you in your mind at the age you are now,

You can walk over to them and maybe just sit with them,

Maybe you hold their hand and embrace them,

Still breathing,

Still present,

After you hear what they have to say,

Once your inner child has shared with you anything that they need,

It might be that you have what they need,

You at this age can give them something they need whether it is love,

Attention,

A sense of safety,

A warm hug,

Perhaps you can embrace them,

Tell them that they are safe,

The world is safe for them and if you feel that you have anything else you can give them that will soothe them,

Make them feel happy in this moment,

You can share it with them now,

Still breathing,

Still in the present moment even as you interact with this younger version of yourself,

Taking the next few breaths to ask that smaller version of yourself to come back,

If they need anything else before you go,

You can also ask if they would like to join you,

Come back with you,

Just ask,

See what they say,

Just know that they are always with you whether they come with you now or not,

All the versions of yourself,

Yourself at every age is always there with you,

The whole time line,

Just taking a few moments with them,

A few more deep breaths,

Breathing in through your nose,

Breathing out through your nose,

Breathing out through your nose,

Breathing out through your nose,

Gently bringing yourself back into this body,

Bringing in deep breaths,

Feeling your hands rising up as you breathe in and fill your body with oxygen,

Prana,

Life force energy,

Releasing that breath through the mouth like a sigh,

Bringing your attention now back to the base of your spine,

Back to your sitting bones,

The sensation of the ground holding you steady and still,

Coming back to the knowing that you are held,

That you are safe,

Just breathing holding your hands across your body,

Being with yourself here,

With the self that you are right now,

With your inner child who you just met and with all the other parts of yourself at every age that live inside you always,

They are always available whenever you want to connect with them,

With those parts of yourself,

Holding on to the conversation you had with that inner child,

Holding on to the deep love that you have for yourself at every age,

Tapping into a sense of deep unconditional love for yourself just as you are right now,

Everything in your life has led you to this moment,

All the joy,

All the difficulty led you right here where you are already perfect just like a beautiful inner child you,

So tapping into that knowing that deep unconditional love,

Sending it to yourself to all the versions of yourself at every age that you have been,

Sending love all the way down your timeline,

Sending yourself love right now this moment,

Feeling your hands across your body,

Knowing that you connected to your breath,

To your body,

To your true self and I invite you to keep this connection with your inner child self open,

Continuing to send that unconditional love back to them now and always and just taking a few more breaths together here in the energy of unconditional love.

When you are ready you might relax your hands,

Just let them rest on your knees or by your sides breathing,

Notice if any thoughts come up about this experience,

Any stories that you are running and just know again that you are not your thoughts,

You have thoughts and you can observe them just like the clouds passing through the sky,

Just as you can observe your breath.

When you are ready you might allow your awareness to come back into your body,

Feeling the cool air entering your nostrils,

Maybe sighing out ahhh.

This practice may have brought up emotion,

Thoughts,

Stories and just know that is normal and that is allowed and that you are safe to express in whatever way feels right for you.

So whenever you feel ready to,

Letting your awareness come back,

Perhaps wiggling your fingers and your toes,

You might roll your neck to release any tension from the neck and the head,

Just know that you are safe and all the versions of yourself,

All the inner children within you are also safe,

They are also loved.

Whenever you are ready you might gently open your eyes,

Bring yourself back into the space you are in,

I invite you to take a moment to just look around the room,

Bring yourself back to presence by taking note of the colours that you see,

The textures that you see,

The objects in the room,

Just coming fully.
