Healing Waters Poem

"The rush of water healed the open wounds. The cascading river softened the pain. The bubbling and frothing soothing the sorrow. Easing the ache. Rinsing away the tears and coating the hurts like a salve. Take it away with you, the flowing stream of regrets, off into the night like a cloud of forgotten dreams. Through the earth and rock, the dirt and the dust, the sky and the stars and the ethers and the wind. Vaporizing time. Taking it back to a place before it was..."

Healing waters.

The rush of water healed the open wounds.

The cascading river softened the pain.

The bubbling and frothing soothing the sorrow,

Easing the ache.

Rinsing away the tears and coating the hurts like a salve.

Take it away with you.

The flowing stream of regrets off into the night like a cloud of forgotten dreams.

Through the earth and rock,

The dirt and the dust,

The sky and the stars and the ethers and the wind,

Vaporizing time,

Taking it back to a place before it was.

When there were smiles and laughter instead of tears and sighs.

When had the current changed?

Was it before that last bend where the river rocks grew their moss like the thickening of my heart?

Could the light of the cosmos burn off this layer of haze?

I immerse myself in the healing waters flowing into mother earth,

Allowing Gaia to hold me,

Cradle me in her womb,

Love me into wholeness,

Regaining my trust,

Stabilizing my truth.

Like the river,

I flow.

Like the sun,

I shine.

Like the earth,

I root.

Like the phoenix,

I rise.
